Nobody complained about anything you said. All that happened in this thread was a clarification on your perception of the Kelleher slashing penalty. In watching the replay there is no doubt that he was simply swiping at the rebound of a shot he had no idea went in. He poked McGovern square in the pad - hardly the cheap shot of the century - and that's all that anyone here said. Just clarification on further review. I don't think anyone had any issue with a penalty being assessed or Michel stepping up to defend his goalie? And no one had any issue with your in the moment, but mistaken, take. But those who didn't see the play deserved to hear about what actually occurred...
As for Michel's first penalty on Kelleher - his forearm extended straight through TK's face. Clearly unlucky, and due only to their size differential, but also clearly a penalty...
And finally, since I like to deal in facts and not anecdotal evidence - let's look at the numbers....
Maine currently averages 18.65 penalty minutes, while UNH averages merely 11 minutes per game. Now, let's remove the two ten-minute Maine penalties this weekend as they are nothing more than supplemental discipline. That leaves us with the following average penalty minutes in this weekends series...
Maine - 17.5
UNH - 11
Exactly. There is a reason that we are called the SMTs.
