Comment had zilch to do with you, there, feller. Simmah down now.

Looks like someone's got their panties in a bunch (again) this morning ...

bomber, 'dc is apparently still sore at me for some unspecified past transgression(s) - not that i care which one(s) at this point - so i doubt it's because of any purported inaccuracies on your part. or else i'm pretty sure he'd have said so when he ignored me calling him out on your accuracy a few days ago. sorry you got caught in his passive aggressive crossfire.

You're absolutely pathetic, Chuck. Or as one of the BC fans put it, you're "a tool". The way you have Massengil'ed up these boards (including other team's threads) since your return after years away is nothing short of hilarious. I realize this fan forum is a desperate attempt at feeling important for you (delegate to your "minions", Chuck) and man is it painful to watch.

Man, do I long for the days of Gibber, Cloud9 et al.

By the way, my original post was reflecting on how wonderful it is that you're actually seeking facts before forming opinions, but the problem is that I think you're about as connected as the north poles of two magnets. Heck, HR has ten times the insider info you have.

Meanwhile........., big game at Conte tonight, and with snowstorm, I am stuck in Waltham with my other team out at the 'hurst for the weekend [for you locals, what do you get when you rearrange the letters in the great Sox pitcher's name, BRUCE HURST ?]. So, I will wander over to visit the Chestnut Hillbillies this evening to see if a miracle happens.

1. Sorry for my detour
2. CHERUB RUST? 😄
3. Is there a video feed tonight?

1. No apologies necessary, as we need anything to keep our threads lively this season. 2. Nice try, but...... 3. Dunno on the video feed; perhaps check BC's team website? No more game threads. Sigh.

Eiserman next!?!

Eiserman next what??? I've been out of touch this week...unfortunately my STH seat mate and good friend who I travel to games with passed away unexpectedly from pneumonia complications..and really rocked my world to say the least.

Anyway...geeze fellas, can't we all get along? :o And in my very best Sargent Shultz voice, as per 'insider info' let's just say...

I do pride myself on having somewhat of a pulse on what's up and right now I'm thinking the LESS I know...the better. I mean, ignorance is bliss, right? Adios...

HR, I'm really sorry to hear that - you told me there were some issues, but I had no idea how serious. Hang in there, and hopefully the Cats get a big win tonight to lift the spirits a bit.

Aw thanks...it's been tough esp. when you least expect something like that. But we go on, and wow wouldn't it be nice for her family (who is going to the games anyway like she would want them to do) to see this happen? Go 'Cats!!!!

Ditto, hang in there, HR. I know that you already shared this sad event with me, but glad that you posted here. The long-time posters here may at times irritate one another, but overall they are a supportive group, and are diehard Cats fans, as otherwise they would not still be posting.

I think Darius means that it is time for Shane to score his first goal of the season, as he is the only Cats forward without one. Even his older bro D-man Billy has two with the Falcons, which might have something to do with their shoving match at Lake Whitt last semester?

You're absolutely pathetic, Chuck. Or as one of the BC fans put it, you're "a tool". Man, do I long for the days of Gibber, Cloud9 et al.

I guess we can 100% agree that Josh's general absence from the boards is a loss for all of us. I don't know Cloud9 so I won't go there, but he's been an informed, opinionated and entertaining poster too. But just to be clear ... I never disappeared from the boards, I just cut way back on posting because other things were more important and taking up what used to be spare time spent here. I still don't get to see as many games as I did in the old days - my choice, but influenced by other commitments - which I hope changes someday? I'm guessing these changes/choices may apply to Josh and/or Cloud9 now, and hopefully someday they'll be back and more active again, too.

I'd say I'm sorry if you've been offended by my presence ... IF I was sorry, but I'm not. :p If my posting on this thread (or "other team's threads" ) offends your sense of protocol, then I think that's more your issue than mine. After all, back in the days of the posters you cited earlier ... forays into "other team's threads" were not so uncommon, were they? We had fun, we met people, no one died and we had some laughs - and lots of them were at our own expense. :o

Re: "minions" ... seriously ... do you ever feel this "whooshing" sound when you're posting, 'dc?

The *Massengil* reference was a nice touch, though. Mega classy.

By the way, my original post was reflecting on how wonderful it is that you're actually seeking facts before forming opinions, but the problem is that I think you're about as connected as the north poles of two magnets. Heck, HR has ten times the insider info you have.

To be honest, I've rarely (if ever) come on here claiming to have oodles of inside information. I have some - used to have a little more back in the day. I'm sure HR has way more current interactions with folks close to the program now. If your measurement of a poster is based on how well-connected they are to the program today, then I lose, and I'm fine with that. Do I need tons of insider info to form an informed opinion on 90% of the stuff that we discuss on here? I don't think so ... and if it's needed and I don't have it, I'll say so. And if someone does tell me something they want held in confidence, then it is held in confidence. But I'll chime in based on those insights.

You see, when I started at USCHO way back when, I made a deal with myself, which I stick to on any other message board I post to, and it is really quite simple. I am who I am - I'm not "Cat Scratch Fever" or "Umile's Whistle" or something creative but safely anonymous. So when I post something, I have to stand behind it. And if I'm wrong, I admit it and move on. I don't disappear or change to a new ID. I'm probably the most transparent person on here, although Greg is probably pretty much the same in sharing without hiding. I'm not doing it for "attention" or for a participation medal - it's just my own way of keeping myself in check. I've only changed one bit of info in my USCHO profile since my "quiet time", which was probably to give myself a minimal layer of protection from annoyed fellow posters (sound familiar?), and all in all it's a pretty transparent gag that most folks on here have already picked up on.

I'm not recommending or expecting others to take the same approach to transparency that I've taken - it sets me up for shots like some of those you've taken at me today - but that's how I roll, and I'm not planning to change.

I'd like to think the bottom line is we're all on here to contribute and be a fan on our own terms. I never came here expecting everyone to like me, so if you don't like me or the way I handle myself on these boards, then don't let me cramp your style.

I do appreciate you laying your cards on the table though, 'dc. Honesty is the best policy. Now scram. ;)

Sorry to everyone else for wasting your time. Hope the 'Cats find some joy during this challenging weekend.

Am I the only one hearing multiple songs playing over the live feed, making it impossible to watch the festivities??
