Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part Two) - Managing Decreasing Expectations

Sigh, Bean Pot on with the reminder that "these teams have so much to look forward to, this, HE Championship then of course, the NCAA tournament"....The way we played Saturday night proves to this observer (and I know the PC fans were disgruntled with their teams play all weekend) that UNH can put together a great game. Still hopeful we make some noise this year somewhere. Lots of hard work has gone into this season along with adversity, they deserve it. Go 'Cats! Already 1-0 BC ugh.

Ah ..... me thinks your "beginning" to allow some of the affect associated with being a UNH Men's Hockey fan .... (particularly the last 8-9 years) .... welcome aboard .... and good luck with that.

 Well I have to say that I just want to see the program succeed really enjoy the games and all that go along with it. It's a great program and I'm glad to be following it! Sure it has been disappointing I mean it has this season but it's part of being a fan and I look forward to see what's next for the 'Cats after this past weekend. Figure I'm in it for the long haul at this point! Plus, it's cool to mix it up with some of you guys at the 'Whitt and that' been well worth it. Watching this Beanpot game we will have some fun with the Eagles Friday...uber physical.

Oh and to Bill? When you walked by me and said "they'll get 'em Saturday Ref" at PC Friday it was awesome...now there's...a great fan.

Just admire those who always keep the faith which is not always an easy thing to do. A fan has to take the good with the bad but I've never thought it was wrong to have opinions when things aren't going well. Prefer not to descend into negativity it's too easy for me! Carry on.

'Watcher and sonar - as two of the elders on here whose opinions I respect greatly, I have only two words:

Mea culpa :o :o

I'm still a sucker for a great redemption story. But honestly, my hopes of it ever happening are pretty dim.

And every time I fact-check bomber's latest posts and validate the content, I just get  all over again ...

As Blazer wrote about me in the AHC Pick 'Em thread, "Christmas must be pretty sad in my house," or words to that effect.

But...something keeps you coming back for more, yes? I think that's what you hold onto. Hope doesn't bring in recruits and hope doesn't win HE championships...but I can only HOPE that those things are in our future. I just HOPE..future possible worthwhile recruits who read this board  realize UNH (and that other team you follow ;) ) would LOVE to have them in our house...and that we really do, love the 'Cats.

Oh and one more thing on hope; remember that it's a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. Yes, I've seen the Shawshank Redemption many, many times and you know what? It never gets old.

... that's what the jumbotron is for, correct?

sorry ... can't seem to help myself, with my pizz-poor attitude these days ...

Loved that movie, one of my favs. Remind me, what happened to the warden who preached law and order but was just in it to line his pockets with money?

Fact-checking and validating.... Now that's rich.

The rumors are true... The Wildcats will NEVER AGAIN skate at the Verizon Wireless Arena!!!

Don't worry, HR, you're not in this alone! It's just that wading into this cesspool of revisited circular arguments leaves me at a loss for words.

Redemption is sometimes tied into rescuing so no wonder your a "sucker for a great redemption story." Admirable.

The conundrum your probably dealing with is analogous to your trying to get Fluffy the kitten down from that tree. He doesn't want to come down till you promise him he can have his own way .... all the time. Your only option is to get a chain saw and let the sawdust fall where it may .........

Fortunately, he got what he deserved...

Chain saws!?! Yikes!

Chain saws!?! Yikes!

To be used on the tree obviously. Quick and easy .... a opposed to the current .... chip, chip, chip, chip, chip ......... chipping away. For years no less.
