I gotta be honest, it's really odd seeing the UNH postmortem on the season so early in March.

Kyle Smith signs with the Manchester Monarchs today...no other details...

It's happened before, and earlier. In 2001 they were bounced from the HE playoffs the first weekend in March as I recall. This is way before the phony playoffs they have now. Just think, if the old rules still existed, UNH would not have played any playoff games.

Pesce and hanifin are d partners (at least tonight). Not sure how long that's been the case.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part Three) - Living in Interesting Times

I see that. Pretty cool!

He (Pesce) had a rocket of a shot that Rask saved in I think the second...and of course they beat my B's in OT...Love watching them as they play in the pros...

Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part Three) - Living in Interesting Times

And, they join UNH alum Matt Fornutaro, who stayed for four years with the Cats, but unlike Harry Quast and Kyle Smith, he racked up 118 points, before making his way to the ECHL.

Being in hockey withdrawal...me and my season tix buds are going to Manch to check it out...that's cool about Matt F...I recognize other names from other teams like Derek Arnold, Joey Diamond.

Tune to NESN at 7:30 PM. What you will see is not, in fact, teams from another league or NCAA division.

I believe Dan Parkhurst has the call on this one. Will be following that UML v BU game online, going to the Monarchs. Free tix, what the heck...

Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part Three) - Living in Interesting Times

One detail I always try not to lose sight of when Warren and Pots come up in the same conversation: Warren was an 18-year old freshman like most of the other frosh on campus, Pots was two years older. I think that's pretty significant on and off the ice. To compare what an older kid with several years of juniors accomplished with an 18 year old from a private prep league, well, I don't think the results were surprising. Nor will I be surprised if someday Foegele is on the big stage.
