Senate votes to loosen liquor laws:

The bill would allow the sale of alcohol at the Whittemore Center’s new sky boxes or any other similar facility for NCAA events, but not for interscholastic
games.

Pretty funny, as UNH already sells overpriced booze in the foyer outside the sky boxes, but the booze cannot be taken through the closed doors into the sky boxes. From my limited experience up there, hardly anyone watches much hockey from the sky boxes, but rather most folks hang out in the foyer. But, perhaps that reflects the product on the ice?

Snively65 are you still expecting a 4:00 arrival time at Libby's? Or have your plans changed...I won't be rolling into Durham until 6:00 ish...I'll check it out.

History with BU and the past few weeks says that if we steal one this weekend it won't be tonight.

No, with the late start, I decided to wait until after the traffic subsides a bit, and arrive close to game time. So, our Cats had better make the Gahden again this March, so that we can quaff some the Jacob family's finest beers at $11.50 per cup between periods. :)

Sell beer to everyone! DU has about ten locations around Magness selling beer and wine - including 4-5 stands that only sell alcohol. The lines for these 8 dollar bud lights are always long. They must clear 10000 a game in revenue, at least...

That's a lot of extra cash UNH hockey could really use...

Interesting game with 3:31 left on the Eiserman penalty that's two straight weeks he's been kicked out... Anyway nice goal by Jamie Hill and Mc Nick go 'Cats! Snively65 enjoying the game from his lofty perch!

Good job UNH, nice response to tie it up right away.

Nice to hear the band playing the old goal song and the sieve, etc. afterwards that UML used to do...we're stuck with a stupid school fight song now that they play after each goal that kills the traditional atmosphere.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part Three) - Living in Interesting Times

They played hard and deserved the tie. I don't see many UNH games, but I read this thread. All I know is that I don't see how anyone can blame Tirone. He stood on his head tonight. You can't be good every night, especially when the defense doesn't clear out people in front. BU was camped there all night.

Tirone def stood on his head esp at the end... Nice to get the tie and it will be a battle at the Agganis go 'Cats!

Yup, you nailed it, as our D-men have been bad all year, everything from clearing opposing players away from net, clearing rebounds, and bringing the puck out of their zone. Tonight Tirone did a great job of clearing a lot of his saves into the corners, but I think that he still spends way too much time sprawled on the ice in the crease.

Poturalski is so much fun to watch skate with the puck; sometimes it seems that the puck is attached to his stick with a rubber band. Kinda' like your Jack Eichel last season. If there are any tickets left, perhaps I will attend game 2 at Agganis. So much more fun to watch these two teams play wide open hockey after the slow plodding play with UVM.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part Three) - Living in Interesting Times

Happy to have the point, as the Cats were really gassed going into OT with only three lines throughout the third. The TV time outs saved us, as did Tirone, of course. Cats still can be a dangerous team in the MBPBEGAM round of the HE tourney.

Fixed your otherwise spot on post, Snively65 :D

Oh, and can we park Quast in the stands, please? Permanently?? I'd rather see younger players making (and learning from) dumb basic defensive zone mistakes, thank you.
