6-6 final. Soul-searching time.
Any bets on Clark tomorrow night?!?!![]()
I've already lost all my money betting on Clark starts this year, but if he doesn't tomorrow than Umile has clearly lost his mind. The stubbornness and failure to adjust from the UNH coaching staff is the biggest reason this program is where it is now. Period.
Watching DU every weekend - and BC tonight in the springs just amplifies how far away UNH truly is from being truly relevant again. Nice watching Dudek and Sanford skate in supporting roles at BC - just two of MANY New Hampshire kids UNH has let get away...
Tyk's line has 11 points...11...and we can't win this game!! Thrilled for Dan C's Hattie and Chris Miller getting his first. That's all I got.
Well, lost in the defensive woes is the fact that we are basically a one line team, offensively! Umile wants to play his dependable and defensively responsible players first. how's that working for us??
McNicholas should be skating a regular shift - let alone be playing. Put McNicholas between Foegel and Eiserman and you add a slick pass-first playmaker to two hard-charging net crashes with limited creating skills. Might make a nice line - and a second scoring option? Could McNicholas' defense have possibly hurt us tonight??
The D has been average at absolute best - is Chanter that much worse??
It's also time to play the seniors in the fourth line role that suits them.
But let's just stick with what we've run out - that square peg has to get through this round hole if we keep pounding, right...?

Tuning in just in time for the radio recap, the initial vibe I got was that we lost. Continuing on, Dan and Pete were flabbergasted, disbelieving, incredulous, almost lost for words. They couldn't justify picking 3 stars on a night that a 'cats player had a hat trick.
Last 2 UMA goals were PPG, both for too many 'cats on the ice. Ugly.
Nice to see a NH player Chris Miller contributing.
If we win tonight the trend is positive.[/QUOTE]
Here's how the Union Leader saw it:

Here's hoping our 'Cats can bounce back and play the full 60 minutes they are looking to play. Union will be tough, tough, tough but they showed last night that yes, they can be scored upon. Playing there will be half the battle. Anyway...you are right nice to see a nh kid get his first goal! I'm rewatching the first period this morning since I missed it.
While I know this happens (too many men on the ice) unfortunate it happened to us...twice..in succession I believe? Please explain to this still newbie fan, what happens, the line change call is missed? Someone isn't off fast enough? What's the usual sequence of events? I am not out to blame anyone just always wonder how it happens. Yes, people and players make mistakes I get that.
And on another note from the twitterverse here's a nice article about TvR to brighten up your morning coz I'm still in the throes of last night and I need to just get over myself...for a change. Awesome to see he's contributing and getting some quality mins while Duncan Keith is out:

All you need to know is Coach (the whistling one) plans the line changes, and then implements those line changes.
Once in awhile (less than 10%?), it *might* be a player error. But twice ... in a row, end of game, etc.??
I'd love to be able to offer a defense for Coach on this one, but I can't. It really is simple as that, I'm afraid.![]()
This is absolutely one time where playing again in 24 hours is the best possible scenario.
After 'Watcher's prodigious post-game content last weekend, Dan is the leader at the halfway mark this weekend.
The record may stand at only 1-2-1 but somehow it feels like 0-3-1. Is it too late to play AIC again?
Is it possible that after last season's impressive finish, this year's team is (gulp) ... overconfident??![]()
