Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part One) - Return of the "Champions of December"??

Final score: UNH 5, Union 2

UNH moves to 2-2-1 overall, with what may have been a virtual "must win" for things like PWR, etc.

You'd have to think Clark has at least forced himself into contention for another start next weekend.

We can only hope!

We may be seeing a repeat of the "DiGiralomo Slump" season??

You never know. I remember this happening to Trent Cavicchi during his senior season, which I believe was the first year of The Whitt, and the first (and for quite some time only) losing season of DU's long UNH career. Brian Larochelle (who had been a 3rd stringer for a couple of seasons behind Cavicchi and Mike Heinke) ended up playing more than a dozen games that season he probably never expected to play.

Re: End of 2nd Period - UNH 3 Union 2

Re: End of 2nd Period - UNH 3 Union 2

Union pulls the goalie with over 2 minutes left, and shortly afterwards UNH hits the target. 5-2 good guys, Boyd (?) with the ENG, and suddenly it's not such a bad weekend after all. :) :) :)

The twitter feed credits the goal to Foegle, but HE scores page says Boyd.

From watching the game on Union's video site I think Clark earned himself the next start. But not being a President for Life what do I know ..........

Thought it was Boyd? Listening to the post game...also wanna say, we had a lot of good puck possession and you could see the cycling that we haven't seen too much of yet! Pots had an amazing goal and thought Matias Cleland played a solid goal. Yep, it was Boyd according to Pete W... Yeah 'Cats!

34 saves for Clarky tonight...think he did a great job. Guess he came off the ice very happy! Dan P: "feels good to win". Yes, it does and they deserved it tonight. Happy for them!

Congrats 'Cats! An excellent job all throughout the ice! AC played very well...first time we've defeated Union in two seasons? This is for you #6 ...☺️😊

UNH archive records vs. Opponents has UNH 5 WINS VS. 1 LOSS to Union all-time. Tonite would make it 6-1!

As self-appointed WIS PfL, I'll put in a good word for Clark with my PfL colleague at UNH Men's Hockey. :D

Wasn't that one loss at UNH in Union's Championship year .... and the same game that TVR hurt his ankle and out the rest of the year .......

No, they lost Union last year (3-1)...and two 3-1 scores in 2013-14. So our record against Union is 6-3

Okay. Not sure whats up with the archives. But isn't Sonar right about TVR? I thought he did the ankle in that game also.

Yep. Jan 18, 2014. Snively65 brings it up from time to time, like when we are playing them. Trust me and Sonar on this one ;):D But I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong..hey it could happen..

Watching Brett Pesce in his first ever NHL game...the announcers h ad a "any relation to Joe" joke haha. Good luck Brett!!

UPDATE: Pesce logged close to 17 mins in that game...ended up 0 for the night stats wise.

Great bounce back effort - it must have been a tough trip out from Amherst after last night. The team showed a ton of character tonight!

Clark made 34 saves, so he must have played ok - despite what the Union announcers say. Tough rebound on the second goal, but no chance on the first goal - that was a BLAST through a huge screen. He is never going to be flashy but, as long as he gets his giant frame in the right spot more often than not, he'll do fine. Hope he starts again next week at Merrimack...

Undefeated when the Poturalski line combines for 7+ points! Kelleher currently leads the country in scoring, Poturalski tied for second...
