Ooh guess that post struck a nerve sorry! But you will be at the yellow jackets game?

Yep, probably Yellow Jackets. Will be at Bentley's opener on Friday night against the Lakers, the late season nemesis for the Falcons last March.

To commemorate Ryan's decision to bail on UNH in the last minute? Was Mr. Kolomatis not available?

I have no love lost for Ryan Bourque when he was playing for Cushing, as he dropped my son with a check into the boards resulting in a shoulder separation. Ask Chara about his checks! Part of the game though! I do think it's cool that Ray is dropping the first puck though.

:D

I saw the blurb about Bourque and set a mental over/under on this a.m. for when someone might revisit his son's de-commit issue. Set it for noontime today - 'watcher, you are officially slacking. :p ;)

Hey gang CDS in the game: AHL game thought he was with the Nailers ECHL that must've changed..

@TonyAndrock_TCG: Casey DeSmith now in goal for #WBSPens to start the 3rd period. Anthony Stolarz remains in net for #LVPhantoms.

It's still preseason, the rookies work their way down the ladder ... maybe he's still in the running at W-BS?

You must be seriously thirsting for hockey to be paying attention to AHL preseason hockey. :p

Yep😊. Actually it's a Twitter post I follow the LV Phantoms and they happen to playing this team. Guess he's playing very well tonight. Ya its a preseason match read that he is vying for a spot along with...Brian Foster. Read a blurb about it mentioning the "UNH Goalie Pipeline" as a former UNH GK coach works for the WBS Penguins. Who me, desperate? Ha!

Enjoy. :) I'll be rooting for Foster in that battle - he's paid his dues, let the other kid pay his dues now.

Annnd it was announced that Ray Bourque will be dropping the puck at the exhibition game Sunday...along with NH Gov. Maggie Hassan....

I'm surprised Bourque would agree to share the spotlight of dropping the puck with anyone. We had the "privilege" of sitting next to him at the bar at Libby's prior to a game in the early 2000's. Every time the bartender came over to us to take our order he would interrupt that he needed this or that. Acted more more like a "self-center" than a defenseman. Honestly, I didn't recognize him until my friend told me who he was. There was no communication between us so it wasn't like we were bothering him. I was not impressed by his behavior. So when his son blew off UNH I was not surprised. As they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I've heard some similar stories about him in the past. Nothing first hand, so I won't go any further.

Bobby Orr, on the other hand, and by all accounts (first party included :) ) is a salt of the earth guy.

FWIW the Guv moved into our neighborhood in Effingwoods earlier this year, but somehow I was left out of the "Welcome Wagon" festivities. :( :( ;)

Hopefully timed well with last year's freshman class, especially if anyone jumps on a pro contract offer after their junior year.

For some unGodly reason I went to last year's Regional and vowed I wouldn't go to another one unless UNH was ON the ice more than just our logo so...so am hopeful this one is the one for a trip to the FF!!!! Snively65 the die has been cast....(or something prophetic like that!!) Go

It's nice to have some optimism going 'round these here parts, so I'll just shut up and :)

As someone who was in school at BU with the other son, consider yourselves lucky, both from a hockey perspective and a personnel perspective. Though I will say, seeing Ray pick up his kid's dirty laundry to take home to wash was a strange sight.

100% wrong on Bourque. There is only one Bobby Orr, on and off the ice but RB is a hell of a guy and great with fans, charities and with how he deals with everyone. Father, husband on and on. One of the most loyal stand up friends that ever walked the face of the earth. Great teammate as well. Have known for over 20 years and have watched stand in line at Dublin donuts like everyone else, watched talk for half hour with kitchen staff at charity events
Many jack *** ex players slinking around, he isn't one of them

Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part One) - Return of the "Champions of December"??

Great, but he's got nothing to do with college hockey or UNH, other than his son breaking a commitment. Son was free to break commitment for a professional opportunity [not sure that decision panned out, but with Ray's money the kid could take that risk]. But since the kid did stiff Dick Umile, encouraged by his dad, there's absolutely no reason to invite him. Family made a mockery of education.

How about Mike Borisenok and his family?

P.S., I prefer the Kilarney donuts. Shorter lines.

Oh, I am optimistic about our OOC schedule and standing come December this season, but I think that we will be even better next season. We had a thread title to that effect last year, no?

I heard RB on one of the Boston sports radio shows a couple days ago, and he sounded quite boring. I do not recall his SC with the Avs coming up in the conversation, which was wise.
