He had an assist in yesterday's "Young Stars" game v the Ice Hogs (TvR's team). Bummed they don't come to Manchester but the Phantoms do Nov 7 (Goumas) I have free Tix already for that one! Drop the puck!

Snively will you get to some of those games? We saw the Phantoms (now the Flames as you speak) play in Worcester MA last year. (Now this team is in PA) So fun that our UNH WildCat Alums are out and about and we can still watch them play! (not to mention the others in the 'big league' ;) )

Have not been to an AHA game in years, since a Monarchs - PBruins match up in Manchvegas. My recollection is that the play was wicked physical and that the refs let about everything go. I will stick with the Cats and Falcons.

Adding up info in various recent posts on this USHL thread http://finishyourcheck.com/topic/87140-trade-updates/page-5, and it looks like Danny Tirone will be going to UNH this season, perhaps quite soon. (His current team, Cedar Rapids (USHL), has traded for the rights to another goalie Ryan Larkin of Michigan (NAHL), and Larkin has disappeared from Michigan's roster.)

Admittedly haven't been following along much during the offseason but was a bit surprised to see Freitas listed as the venue for UNH at UConn, wasn't there talk of them renting out the XL for league games?

EDIT: The schedule on UConn's website has it listed to be played at the XL.

Also, Tirone has played in only 2 of the 6 Cedar Rapids' preseason games. Plans appear to be progressing.

I would imagine they (UNH) are steeling themselves for the reality of no CDS this season, so, this would make sense. So we should/ could potentially expect Danny Tirone prior to the 2nd semester?

herbst should be posting soon but Tirone has been traded by Cedar Rapids to an East Coast Jr. Team.
