Granted we don't get the players who score like we used to but next years class comes in with a lot of forward firepower. They might not light it up next year but I'm expecting them to produce a lot of points of the next few years

Yes, I am pulling for Goumas this weekend. I think that he remains in the hunt for a Hobey top ten finalist spot.

Gotcha, I think he should be in that mix. 5th in points for the entire nation and playing most of his games in the toughest conference in college hockey. Then again the Hobey is supposedly a mix of skill, character, and academic performance (although sometimes I don't buy those latter two) so maybe Kevin lacks the character and classroom success the Hobey is looking for. Who knows

The game has changed in the last 20 years or so .... I am not sure that the "less scoring" now is a function of their own individual skills. Many more high scoring games in the "early years" ....... Perhaps the goaltenders and defensemen are better nowadays and the coaches are interested in defense first?

I found different numbers for Kevin. According to USCHO under stats, clicking on Kevin Goumas (currently 5th in points). They have him playing in 144 games with 144 total points

Elliott Olshansky just posted his Hobey top ten and has Goumas just outside. But, I do not see four goaltenders getting into the top ten as he does.

Could not understand why Kevin wasn't included in the fan voting I mean some schools had 3 players etc...he is deserving! BTW how big an impact does that fan voting have anyway..just curious.

I do not think that the fan voting counts all that much, but rather the coaches. Top ten apparently will be announced at 10 am Thursday. Perhaps the reason that only TVR represented UNH in the fan voting was because of poor second half last year had by most of his teammates?

Sooo with one day to the game any final thoughts on getting together at the Gahrden:)? We will be coming in 5:30 ish...I don't know the venue at all so anyone who is going please post a meeting spot and time...Thanks! Go 'Cats!

A good spot to meet is behind the ATT Sports deck I think. It's half way between section 13 and 20 where NESN does their broadcasts I think. You can see on the chart below.

My son is joining us from the Red line...what's the nearest T station; it has to be North Station, doesn't the Garden practically sit on top of it? I know the Gov Center station is supposed to be closing for the next 2 years...

Twitter has been "a buzz" about the teams warming up, practicing at the Garden today! Looking so forward to tomorrow. I'm pulling for the team in Blue and White...just sayin'. ;)

I don't recall where we were in the PWR earlier today, but we are now tied with MI at 16, just behind them in the RPI.
