Good morning to all, especially 'ref. Nice to meet you and your daughter last night.
Obviously, much better to be sitting here this morning after a win. And as someone pointed out a bit earlier, the team is where we hoped they would be in the standings a week ago, it just seemed more likely that the two wins would both be ZooMass, not one from [Proviced. My frustration stems from the fact that I was at Tuesday's game, and for the first time this season saw the guys hitting their passes consistently throughout the game. It looked like they had finally found themselves and each other; best game of the year thus far that I had seen live. After that pleasant display,
last night was mind-numbing. Passes to nowhere all game long, seemingly no idea where anybody else would be, or completely incapable of hitting them. that may be a bit harsh, but the contrast between the two games was stark. I find it hard to chalk that up entirely to the absence of Pesce and Kelleher. Is this further evidence of Chuck's "young team" syndrome? Or, maybe, they're just one of those teams that
insist on playing up or down to their opponents level. Felger wasn't wrong about the overall quality of the hockey. Even DT didn't look as solid as Tuesday. There seemed to be plenty of occasions where a skilled opponent would have buried the puck.
Alas, that's enough whining this morning. A win is a win is a win. On to Maine. A sweep would be oh-so-sweet. Go 'Cats.
