Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Just saw an ad on WBIN for UNH-Northeastern on Friday night, am I mis-remembering that in years past NESN had exclusive rights?

I thought there deal covers the Beanpot and some predetermined regular season games.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Despite no Bruins on Friday night, nothing else listed for NESN except for Bruins at 1 pm and BC at 7 pm on Saturday?
BC/ND on NESN at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
BC/ND on NESN at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, if necessary.

But I see your point... why no HE game Friday night?

Perhaps it's time for some predictions. Who do you got and in how many around Hockey East this weekend? Who's playing who at the Garden next weekend and any gut feelings who's going to be winning those games in Boston?

ran some scenarios on the CHN tool , UNH can Move up with some wins and other important losses . Like Min. State losing ,UNH could move Anywhere from 17 to even 14 but stuff must fall into place . Like UNH winning , which is asking a lot.

Just get to the Garden. Just get to the Garden. Just get to the Garden. That is all. :D Oh, and do it in 2, mk? I hope that the team is solely focused on this piece. Last year, we had the luxury to lose to PC and make it to the Regionals. This year, acts of God are required and I don't think it's a stretch to say that! Play hard hitting, consistent hockey like we are capable. Anything else will be, well, just, well...you know. Bring it 'Cats!!

#1 BC sweeps #8 Notre Dame, outscores the "best #8 seed of all time" by at least 5 goals on the aggregate
#2 UMass-Lowell slips past #7 UVM in 3 games, with one game going to OT
#3 Providence sweeps #6 UMaine, with one game going to OT
#4 UNH vs. #5 Northeastern ... 3 games, heart says UNH, head says NU. Going with the heart. :)

Semis @ TD Garden:

#1 BC sends #4 UNH packing 5-2. No NCAA trip for the 'Cats this season. :(
#2 UMass Lowell is upset by #3 Providence in double OT

Finals: BC 6 Providence 1 ... Friars gassed after double OT the previous night, but would have lost anyway

BC will not lose another game, and will win their 4th D-1 title in the last seven seasons.

That hurts.

# 1 BC wins in three
# 2 Lowell wins in three
#3 PC loses in three
#4 UNH wins in two ( lol) like my bias.

#1 BC defeats Maine
#2 Lowell Loses to UNH

BC crushes UNH.
Their will be one upset this week , could be any of the four including BC. Way to much parity in this league.

I would LOVE to see it happen but I've seen this film play far too many times. We haven't won this thing since 2003 right? Unfortunately I don't see us starting new trends this year but hey they could surprise us and win HE. The puck is dropped for a reason I suppose. Go cats!

And then I woke up. :o

(But hey, a guy can dream, right?)

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Quite frankly Chuck this looks like a very likely scenario. But I LOVE the optimism e.cat brings to the table! Like I said...just get to the Garden. BC has too many big guns this year; plain and simple. Ya never know tho... excited it's almost GAME DAY! BRING IT 'CATS! Behind ya no matter what! :D
