Oh, and UVM has the worst PP in the country, not just hockey east. Eep, so they got 2 of 3 on us. But glad that's all they got.

Ya, as good as we've been in every other facet of the game PW (Post Wisconsin), our PK has definitely been an ongoing Achilles heel.

Well, 2 out of 3 would have been better. I can believe that the FB team lost. I can believe that the skaters beat Vermont. I still can't get my head around the Pats losing to Miami. Every game, I am hopeful to the point of expectation that the Pats will find a way to outscore their opponent in the 2nd half.

Alas................................................

But, hey, I'll take the win over the Catamounts!

I hoped for a better showing as well, instead of a blowout. To make another hockey comparison, they played about as well as the Cats did against Minny in the NCAA Championship not that many years ago.

Ah, well. Clearly the better team won, so 'Nova deserves the chance to go all the way.

The cats played well against the Gophers in Buffalo. It wasn't 'a blowout' until halfway through the 3rd when Vanek took over the game (if Gare hadn't missed the game the end result may have been different). 32-0 in the 3rd quarter against Villanova is not the same thing.

In hindsight, yeah, you're right, at least score-wise. UNH wasn't getting blown out in Buffalo. But they were getting outplayed all game, in my recollection, and it was just a matter of time. Yesterday, it was never a matter of time. 'Nova ruled from beginning to end.

Ah, well. All glory to Villanova -- and may more glory come their way.

I was more worried about McNeese St than 'Nova but what do I know!!!


The Pats should have won that game. I can not believe the missed tackles in the secondary. Not good (shoulda, woulda, coulda )

He was down on the ice for less time than the UVM player that Thompson boarded in the first period then bounced right back up after the call. Enjoy the overrated Riverrats' underachieve as they always do when expectations are high (which rarely happens since they're such a mediocre program 85% of the time)
