UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

I wouldn't expect to see any shovels because the renovations got changed from an external building to renovating lots of space under the arena.

Ok, is there any proof this started? You can't renovate the men's locker room with them still in it.

And if by chance they are doing something, that would be a prime opportunity to let everyone know. either it is a failure of planning or communication. Either way, same net result.

Meathead: Ah, it's the executive functioning section of the human brain that you are missing. I'll re-post it for you:

Buford and Elwood ran out of gas at number 3 and turned on the Banana Splits.
I see we have grown up and still like to name call. Glad you have matured. The problem is you can't actually answer a question just deflect with moronic statements.

Case #1:

Umile, Dick - I know that you are going to say that is ancient history. BUT hey it is the same school. Umile took a team to the NCAAs in the spring of 92 a year before the upgrades were even announced.

Barr, Ben - He had Umaine turned around and went to the NCAAs in 2024, the Alfond money was announced in Jan 2024, long after it could make any impact on that years Umaine's season. We could all see the trajectory of Umaine before the gift. For the kicker Barr was being paid $256k which is pretty much the same as Souza $240k 2024 salary.

There are 2 relevant cases right there for you. I know they have been discussed before just wanted to refresh your memory. I know neither will count for some reason, but mostly because they refute you.

Nobody gets the money without a coherent strategy which drives the actions on the detailed plan. Very few get the real money without proving the first few steps are going have results, some track record of success I am not seeing a communicated strategy from Souza and I am not seeing a track record of success on the ice.
Let's go deeper into the Maine scenario. Red Top (one of the greatest humans you can meet) had a winning percentage of 41% before he died. Barr took over after and had a similar record for a year before his recruits started to come in. He went from 5 wins, to 15, to 23, to 24.

In Orono Maine. Prior to money for renovations. This is an example of someone who can recruit and coach. Once there is success, good things folllow.

It's game day! Go Cats. Big weekend series for this young group.
Need to clarify which Cats, presumably UNH Wildcats on this thread, although there have been times over the past few years when posters on our threads have been hoping that we lose, which they believe will lead to admin regime change. But if we have learned anything the past few years, it is that losing records do not lead to admin regime change. So, I am rooting for a sweep by our Wildcats this weekend in an effort to climb out of the HEA basement. A sweep also would double our win total, important if we are to tally 20 wins by March.

Well, you tell quite a tale. You intentionally misstated what I wrote in a detail thoughtful post. It's the sort of thin ga
Your plan is to continue sliding into last place in HE because there is no cash and just keep a coach who's teams are not good?
Kinda unfair what you did in light of my post providing a step by step plan I propose.

But your other point about your online posting behavior improving is correct. I'll take you off the Meathead list for now and call you Norby unless or until you prove you can't handle it. The Buford and Elwood names are nearing temporary or hopefully permanent retirement due to their recently improved online conduct. I'm getting the three of you in line. Took a while but the results are promising.

Au contraire, mon ami ... two years ago, when the hero of our story was coaching out the final year of his previous contract, the strategy was pretty clear for all to see. Hanging out on NESN with his UNH pals Jack & Brick, slathering on the BS about how he was turning the program around in real time, and voicing his pleas for a new deal so he could finish the job he'd started in Durham. And of course, our bookworm AD f/k/a SB was star struck to see her man in charge of hockey, hanging out in the bright lights of the big city. And ball-washers like potty will insist he's entitled to another extension, because, y'know ... money, and lots of it. And committees and consultants, and subject matter experts to bloviate and pontificate ... only to find out, a few more irretrievable seasons further down the track to eternal mediocrity, spending further millions on facility upgrades ... the guy just doesn't know how to run a successful D-1 Hockey program.

Or maybe he's just about to run the table through the semester break, and drag his team to Boston and beyond in March by the sheer force of indominatable willpower. As the good folks of Missouri are known to say from time to time ... "show me". A decade should be enough on the job training to make a difference, no?!?
Buford, if you view "Jack & Brick" as stars, well, you must get hot flashes of tingling excitement when watching drunks sing Karaoke at local chinese restaurants. Bet you got an autograph book filled with signatures from local Karaoke "stars".

As for the ball-washer comment, I mean, you present me with a dilemma. I have been tempted to suspend my use of the name Buford due to a recent improvement in your posting behavior. And then you went with ball-washer. Oh, well.

$256k in Orono Maine is about the equivalent of $425K in the NH seacoast region. Just check the real estate prices of both locales.

When Barr was hired I guarantee you representations were made to him by the UMaine AD and most likely some hockey boosters about coming facility improvements, etc.. Do you really think that Barr fell off his seat when out of nowhere the Alfond windfall arrived?

Delirious ... thinking you have some "policing power", and all it took was you getting humbled (humiliated actually) when 'Watcher dropped the bomb on your silliness. I haven't adjusted my posting content or tone in the slightest, other than to ramp up the ridicule meter to 11 on your incessant ramblings on topics where you regularly step on rakes, at least once every other day. So, just to ensure you're focused ... keep up the fantastic work as MS7's #1 ball-washer. :ROFLMAO:
