If Souza can't get at least to .500 then he deserves the big boot.I myself think The key will be can the Canadian players from last year double their offensive output from last year? and will the 2 new goalies stand on their heads every night.

I see Cy Leclerc is now in Portal after playing 10 games in ECHL. Wonder if the rule goes through he ends up back at UNH for another year?

His name just popped up on Gopher Puck Live. I believe the 5 year rule would have to pass because right now it say's he has 0 years eligibility.

My guess is that even if the rule passes, it will be applied prospectively rather than in a way that disrupts the current landscape. That approach would avoid reopening portal windows, creating scholarship conflicts, or reigniting NIL negotiations. Hopefully, older players who still have time remaining under the new framework would be grandfathered in.
