Awesome win for the 'Cats. Any idea on a time/TV for next weekend yet?
I heard that the McNugget announcers were absolutly brutal, not to mention offensive, did anyone here listen to them with the video feed?
Schedule for Saturday (all times EST):
12:00 p.m.: William & Mary at (3) Southern Illinois
2:00 p.m.: Stephen F. Austin at (1) Montana
3:30 p.m.: New Hampshire at (2) Villanova
7:00 p.m.: Appalachian State and (4) Richmond
Hofstra called it quits on their football program today. That makes 2 divisional rivals in 2 weeks. That's to go with losing semi-regular OOC whipping boys Iona last season. Rumors surrounding URI aren't particularly encouraging either.
Any prediction on where this lands the program, conference and schedule-wise, over the next several seasons?
If this means that now we're going to have to play William & Mary every year, it is a very bad thing.
In UNH-related news, former UNH OC Chip Kelly is bringing Oregon to the Rose Bowl is his first year as head coach.
While they were setting up the icing field goal, a member of the ESPN announcing team mentioned that 3 years ago Kelly's biggest game was playing Maine for the Brice-Cowell Musket and now he was getting set to play in the Rose Bowl Game.
I can't decide if I'm happy that UNH got any love on ESPN or that I'm stung by the backhandedness of the remark.
ESPN has had a "hair across their butt" about UNH since 2005, when UNH had home field for the playoffs and the ESPN staff ******ed and moaned about the "inadequate broadcast facilities"
I'd be stunned if the 2009 Oregon-Oregon State broadcast team was the same as the 2005 New Hampshire-Colgate or New Hampshire-Northern Iowa teams.
