Good to hear that were finally backfilling the soon-to-be-opening slots at goaltender.

Re: UNH Commits & Recruiting: 2019 and Beyond

I saw that. There had been suggestions before that it be moved. My suspicion is that the name calling and personal attacks pushed it to the Café. It was fun for a while, filled the playoff posting void, was a microcosm of America and I'm done with it. More time to haunt the BU threads and get back to Ozark.

I have been hearing about Ozark! I think I'll try it out...Be well sir.

Agreed. MS7 was probably getting fed up with all of my b!t@h!ng and moaning on the topic ...

Re: UNH Commits & Recruiting: 2019 and Beyond

Fun following UVM thread, too, as apparently Sneddon did not get to pick his successor.

Two weeks have passed... time for a new post on the UNH thread.
Are Clark, Hislop and Cox coming this year? Will it be fun in Durham anytime soon?

Mike when did they decide to push back Will Magels start date back? I remember he wanted to come in as a true freshman , And I foolishly noted that I thought that perhaps he could be another Jackson P. Rough start at the beginning of the year in the USHL but the change to the BCHL seemed to start him back on the scoring trail. Do you think he will accept the USHL opportunity or go back to the BCHL this year?

He plans to play for the Lincoln Stars (USHL) next season and enroll Fall 2021.

Two years from being able to commit anywhere, Shane Eiserman's "little" brother, an '06, is a top prospect.

Easy to see why Cole Eiserman is generating buzz. Powerful skater with a wicked shot. Bull rushed the net for a Kreider-esque goal on Sat. evening& Mark Divver (@MarkDivver) August 2, 2020

Maybe this one will be a little more "Yzerman"-ish than the last one was?

If so - I'm in. If not - thanks, I'll pass, Bentley can have him ...

Eiserman bros bring back memories of UNH 5-4 win over Bentley on Nov 2015 at Whitt when Billy took exception to Shane roughing up Gabe Antoni in front of Bentley net early in third period. I thought both would get sent to the box with matching penalties, but references sent them back their benches instead. Shane did get an assist on Max Gaudreault's game winner midway through third.

Bentley took their revenge with 5-1 win in the season opener at the Whitt the next year.

There was also another Eiserman bro in between Billy and Shane; name him, his position, and and his college team for a beer at Libby's. :-)

Chris Yzerman, goalie, SUNY-Fredonia. At least that knocks one beer off my Libby's still-owe list!!

It also appears their dad (or uncle) Robert played for Trinity College back in the early '90's.

Thanks hockeydb.com!!

The father Billy Eiserman played for Lowell back in 87, broke his leg and didn't play again. The older brothers both committed to Lowell, though the goalie never found his way there.

Shane was a hotshot when he committed to UNH.

Eiserman is a native of West Newbury, Mass., about half an hour south of Durham, and watched games at the Whittemore Center growing up. His father, Bill, played a season at Lowell before breaking his leg, and both his older brothers, Bill, a defenseman, and Chris, a goaltender, are UMass-Lowell recruits, for ’11 and ’12, respectively.

In addition to UNH, the younger Eiserman visited Boston University, though the Terriers didn’t make an offer at the time.

It appears his St.Johns coach (Kris Hanson) and his sophomore prep coach (Cushing's Rob Gagnon) were influences who went to UNH, and Newburyport put him close to UNH. The youngest has a similar size advantage at his age, so lets see how it goes when the others catch up. Still, the talk is Cole is one of the best in his age group, so let's see if that continues and if bigger fish in the recruiting landscape grab him. He's moving far away from home so proximity may be les of a factor, and also, Shane's recruiting was Umile and Borek, and with the team and his own development leveling off at UNH, who knows how he views his experience at UNH. I imagine BC and BU will be all over the younger one.
