UNH Commits & Recruiting: 2016 and Beyond

I wouldn't be surprised to see the forward lines fine tuned a bit:

Marcus Vela is more physically formidable than Tyler and more effective as a back-checker so I think he'll center the first line with Kelleher on the right wing (even though Tyler played center for the NTDP U17 and U18 teams).
Fregona is a right shot, right winger and Nazarian is a left shot center/left winger so I see Fregona on McNicholas' right and Nazarian on his left.
I think the 4th line center position will be up for grabs with Miller having a slight edge due to his experience last season. I also think BvR and Salvaggio will be competing for 3rd line left wing.

Hill will not be 4th line and Sacco will play

Joe Sacco started last season (his first in the BCHL) as the right winger on the Vernon Vipers' third line but worked his way up to their starting lineup so I can see why you anticipate him earning playing time as a freshman.

Agree on Hill...being a Senior and all but hoping that's not the main reason he plays higher. I personally like Jamie; I always felt he put his heart into the game and the kid does have speed...IMHO

Jamie is accountable. I saw he just signed up for a 7 week, 5 days a week pro camp. On and off ice included, run by the top guys in the region by a mile
He will really be ready and says a lot about his commitment to the program that he is moving away from home and doing this. Results have been very good, he will be ready to go come October

He has very nice upside. Perfect type four year player that teams need. Moves very well, very good shot

That's good to hear and cool news about Jamie Hill! So Hoky if you had a 'crystal ball' where would you see Robbie Baillargeon playing next year? (say UNH say UNH...haha)

U Conn maybe, something is weird there. Kid leads team in scoring as a freshmen and gets cut couple years later

I also had thought NCAA said no more collier type transfers

I can't imagine them going into the season this way. So, either Baillargeon, a loose recruit (a former St.Lawrence or U.Mass kid, or Ivy kid who can't get in) or a 17 year old true freshman from Canada gets an offer to go to college immediately before other schools.

What about Frankie Cefalu? He doesn't show on anyone's list .... was a walk on last year. Played in a few games and did pretty well for himself.

Four years ago, just before Hill arrived on campus, a former UNH Captain wrote that he would "work his bag off". Could be that he will start this season on McNicholas' right wing with Nazarian on left wing on the second line. That would leave Freshman Fregona and Grasso competing for third line right wing. Frankie Cefalu will be in the mix, probably for the 4th line.
