NH is running out of money to meet its basic needs. The biggest asset NH has is access to Massachusetts residents that leave tip money at a few restaurants in Portsmouth and Lake Winny amd ski at the White Mountains.
Without the generosity of Massachusetts residents, NH residents would resort to cannibalism.

NH (and actually ME too) are by contrast adding population, as is VT (very slightly), while CT and RI are leaking population like MA.
