Ha he'd be welcome at 128 Main.He could be the next greatest coach, but its time to go outside the Umile tree.
Lather, rinse, repeat. Time for a fresh start.Ha he'd be welcome at 128 Main.
Works for me!!!!The problem is I am not sure he has the likeability to get these guys. Time will tell. It was nice to see a real game tonight in a college setting.
Ref, Row J is still now row 16....
I've heard the connections he has for recruits is insane. But at this point we are just grasping at straws relegated to going to other games hoping that some day things could change for us.Lather, rinse, repeat. Time for a fresh start.
I'm sure Ayers and his baby blues would be good for at least an additional 500 season tickets from all the Seacoast milfs and cougars pining for a regular looksy.....and you know how I feel about that.![]()
Ethan Gardula, U.Conn. His older brother Ryan a senior on UNH club hockey team. Ethan had 19 points as a freshman after 20 goals/49 points in the USHL.It's actually an interesting exercise. What if UNH re-built their roster entirely with players who previously played for or committed to UNH, had significant connections to UNH/UNH Hockey or grew up in the state of New Hampshire? You know, the kind of kids who might look past the (so called) degenerate facilities the program is working with...

Not really sure why Ayers would be stunned. NOT making the Frozen Four has been more common in his years at BC.Brown and Ayers looked stunned walking off the ice.
Oh they are blue hadn't noticed...I'm sure Ayers and his baby blues would be good for at least an additional 500 season tickets from all the Seacoast milfs and cougars pining for a regular looksy.
Distracted by his world class lettuce, I see!Oh they are blue hadn't noticed...![]()
I sat adjacent to a large Denver section last night. Their cheering section was small but LOUD and passionate. They were taunting the BC faithful heavily on their way out of the arena, but all in good fun.Every Denver fan I met was a class act.

Not even ... once upon a time when Ayers was still playing at the U, my eldest daughter (still in her pre-teens then) and myself were coming back late from a game at The Whitt - forget exactly why, maybe a postgame event, plus the parking issues in A Lot?? - but afterwards on our way back to Effingwoods, we came to our usual take-out Chinese stop, which at the time had some limited seating. And at one of tables sat none other than "Touchdown Mikey" with his girlfriend, waiting for their order. He'd played that evening, so how he got there before us was a slight puzzle. My daughter, even at that age, was quick on the uptake, and started elbowing me repeatedly in the ribs in the short standing wait line at the counter. I'd noticed already, but out of respect for his personal space and his companion's time, I simply whispered to my prepubescent puck bunny that, yeah, he was indeed who she thought he was ... and cool yer jets lol.I'm sure Ayers and his baby blues would be good for at least an additional 500 season tickets from all the Seacoast milfs and cougars pining for a regular looksy.
If anyone was wondering why mookie was asking about Ayers' interest in returning to UNH ... this pretty nicely sums it all up. Kudos Felgie!!Not really sure why Ayers would be stunned. NOT making the Frozen Four has been more common in his years at BC.
12 years at BC, 3 FF's. No national titles.
In the dozen years prior to Ayers, the Eagles went to 6 FFs and won 3 National Championships.
Ayers participated in as many NC games in 4 years as a player at UNH as he has in 12 years as a coach at the Heights.
Not at a dig at "Touchdown Mikey" as much as their fans. You know what they say about karma.
Chuck, I have been using this same equation for about 5-6 years and it always gets glossed right over. Even asked to send the same outline over to WSBE/Paul College to have them crunch their own numbers and to educate the students on so many levels, crickets. Hopefully with YOUR gravitas will get more traction. So, let's look at it this way, Mikey ... The Whitt has a capacity of 6,500-ish for hockey, I believe. I don't have the current attendance stats, but based on simple observations, and a look at the last decade or so of available stats, let's say 4,500 seats are sold on average these days. That's approx. 2,000 unsold seats per home date. Multiply that by 18 games, and at $20 per seat, and that's an available increment of roughly $720,000, with no discernable added costs, right??
Well Chuck, since you interjected the Tiki Curse into this thread, I will add a Marcia Brady/Davy Jones reference,,,Not even ... once upon a time when Ayers was still playing at the U, my eldest daughter (still in her pre-teens then) and myself were coming back late from a game at The Whitt - forget exactly why, maybe a postgame event, plus the parking issues in A Lot?? - but afterwards on our way back to Effingwoods, we came to our usual take-out Chinese stop, which at the time had some limited seating. Junior Jet Eye was always a huge Haydar fan, but the mere mention of BC's current lead assistant's name still turns my 30-something married mother of two kid into a proverbial puddle of goo. Strongly suspect she would be in your projected "Group of 500" if/when he returned to the site of his former glories ...![]()
What is the Wood UNH/NH connection?
Haha you told me that story! All I'm gonna say IF 'touchdown Mikey' (ok why do you guys call him that) became our HC I would have to move our seats to the other side. You know...just so I can keep an eye on him...Not even ... once upon a time when Ayers was still playing at the U, my eldest daughter (still in her pre-teens then) and myself were coming back late from a game at The Whitt - forget exactly why, maybe a postgame event, plus the parking issues in A Lot?? - but afterwards on our way back to Effingwoods, we came to our usual take-out Chinese stop, which at the time had some limited seating.
