I've heard the connections he has for recruits is insane. But at this point we are just grasping at straws relegated to going to other games hoping that some day things could change for us.
So as far as Im concerned we'd be lucky if he became our HC. But doubt it will happen.
Anyway see you in Oct and Row 16 lives on the hockey arena Twilight Zone...

Ethan Gardula, U.Conn. His older brother Ryan a senior on UNH club hockey team. Ethan had 19 points as a freshman after 20 goals/49 points in the USHL.

Not really sure why Ayers would be stunned. NOT making the Frozen Four has been more common in his years at BC.

12 years at BC, 3 FF's. No national titles.

In the dozen years prior to Ayers, the Eagles went to 6 FFs and won 3 National Championships.

Ayers participated in as many NC games in 4 years as a player at UNH as he has in 12 years as a coach at the Heights.

Not at a dig at "Touchdown Mikey" as much as their fans. You know what they say about karma.

Not even ... once upon a time when Ayers was still playing at the U, my eldest daughter (still in her pre-teens then) and myself were coming back late from a game at The Whitt - forget exactly why, maybe a postgame event, plus the parking issues in A Lot?? - but afterwards on our way back to Effingwoods, we came to our usual take-out Chinese stop, which at the time had some limited seating. And at one of tables sat none other than "Touchdown Mikey" with his girlfriend, waiting for their order. He'd played that evening, so how he got there before us was a slight puzzle. My daughter, even at that age, was quick on the uptake, and started elbowing me repeatedly in the ribs in the short standing wait line at the counter. I'd noticed already, but out of respect for his personal space and his companion's time, I simply whispered to my prepubescent puck bunny that, yeah, he was indeed who she thought he was ... and cool yer jets lol.

Junior Jet Eye was always a huge Haydar fan, but the mere mention of BC's current lead assistant's name still turns my 30-something married mother of two kid into a proverbial puddle of goo. Strongly suspect she would be in your projected "Group of 500" if/when he returned to the site of his former glories ... :love:

If anyone was wondering why mookie was asking about Ayers' interest in returning to UNH ... this pretty nicely sums it all up. Kudos Felgie!! (y):LOL:

Chuck, I have been using this same equation for about 5-6 years and it always gets glossed right over. Even asked to send the same outline over to WSBE/Paul College to have them crunch their own numbers and to educate the students on so many levels, crickets. Hopefully with YOUR gravitas will get more traction. :)

Haha you told me that story! All I'm gonna say IF 'touchdown Mikey' (ok why do you guys call him that) became our HC I would have to move our seats to the other side. You know...just so I can keep an eye on him...🙃

Think he had an important game where 7 were scored against him :). To be exact he should be touchdown plus an extra point Mikey.
