UNH 2024/2025 Goldberg Edition

This has to be rock bottom since 1995...

I talked to a half dozen of the guys and all you could sense is defeat some bad juju.

3-11-2 with a 17 goal differential in HE. Even if we won every game the rest of the year ( we won't win 1) best we could be is 5th.
FYP :)

You guys are brutal and have been for years. UNH belongs in Atlantic Hockey. Seriously a waste of time in Hockey East.
Joining Atlantic Hockey also might get us back to the NCAA’s as an auto-seed. After all, we beat perennial AHA powerhouse RIT twice, along with Bentley once this season. We also beat Stonehill and LIU, which might join Atlantic Hockey next season.

So, in the last two years, our "new" AD has made the following personnel decisions:

(1) Non-renewed Men's Basketball HC Bill Herrion (Hoops currently 6-19);
(2) Renewed (extended) Men's Hockey HC Mike Souza (last place in HEA); and
(3) Hired Rich Weinrebe to replace Marc Hubbard as Men's Soccer HC (7W-7T-3L; no NCAA bid)

Not encouraging, and no sign of someone who has the slightest clue what they're doing to build winning teams.

But I'm sure she is knocking it out of the park on all things Compliance ...

More regular season titles for the rafters.

She was a bad hire. The results are showing in her lack of a sports background. I bet she was a spelling bee champ!

The fact that people thought we were going to win and that BC would be too focused on BU and the Beanpot is mind blowing to me. We don’t have the talent (or the coaching) to beat BC. We barely have the talent to beat UVM. Until people wake up and realize that and start calling for a change then we will continue to be where we are…
Really? People have been calling for a change for years, but it’s falling on deaf ears! Fire Souza AND AD Allie.

Exactly...I know of many fans who sent emails, had convos, etc...myself included. I guess when it hits hard in the pocket book (which I'm sure it will if it hasn't already) maybe they will 'get it'. I am sensitive to the players at the same time; have always wanted good stuff for them. Haha in the vein of "BC will be too focused on BU" Maine will probably
be "looking past" UNH hahaha

Wishful thinking on Maine looking past UNH. Maine has Vermont, UConn, and UMass left. Not really teams they would be circling on their schedule. You might have a point if BU or BC was coming up, but Maine already played them. If anything Maine would be circling this on the schedule since it is a rivalry game. And one that draws sold out attendance. The students will be rowdy. The Saturday game will be on NESN. Also on Saturday is a pregame tailgate party with music, bbq, etc put on by Everything College Hockey. No doubt students will be out in full force. Friday is free thunderstick night. Saturday is whiteout the Alfond with free t-shirts. 🤣 There is next to zero chance Maine is looking past UNH.

Sorry, but buying season tickets and wanting the HC ousted are mutually exclusive. If no one showed up at the Whitt to watch games, the AD would be forced to act.

Yes, our pal sparkee gets pretty durned riled up with any insinuation UMaine might be overconfident and/or overlook a game. This time, though, I suspect he's gonna be right on the money. UMaine's already blown through the toughest parts of their HEA schedule, and they have a succession of tomato cans and (yes) cupcakes left on the HEA RS schedule. MS7 can't even capitalize on a highly distracted BC team this weekend, I don't even wanna think at how bad next weekend turns out.

Sparkee baby, what say you give me the 'Cats w/9.5 goals for the weekend? For beers next time you're in Durham. Deal??
