Lets hope the Bears and Cats are able to get two games in this weekend. It is hard to believe it is December 11 with UNH not playing a single game so far. I predict it will be a close, high scoring game tonight.

I'll only believe that there will be game tonight once I see the puck drop from the ref's hand. (insert smiley)

UNH will be the home team(last change).

But will they? The game was originally scheduled as a Maine home game. Just because the location is now in Durham doesn't necessarily make them the "home team". It will be interesting to see how it is handled. Just another example of how strange a season this year will be.

Red said last night UNH would be the home team.

* Robinson and Foreman are the only goalies listed as dressed - so Robinson gets the opening night start...
* Newcomers dressed: Semandel (D), Jenson (D), Cafarelli (F), Richels (F), Reid (D)...
* Verrier, Erikkson and Maass also dressed on defense, so NO MacKinnon...
* 13 forwards, no Ward (transfer eligibility) and no Engaras...

--> Taylor, MacKinnon, Engaras and Ward do not dress. Pretty significant.

Cats kiilin' it on SOG (13-2) in first period of play, but nothing to show for it on the almighty scoreboard.

Some good closeups of cardboard cut outs, so I guess that I had better get my money and photo into the mail. :-)

Hard to believe Crookshank didn't get one tonight with all the chances he created - it looks like he's taken his game to another level and could be very dangerous year. He'll have to be if UNH is going to generate much offense this season, though missing Engaras and Ward certainly hurts. You'd like to see that pair slotted onto Kelleher's line and move MacAdams and Sato down to the bottom six.

The first PP of Erikkson, Kelleher, Grasso, Pierson and Crookshank needs to be a lot better, not sure where the threat comes from on unit two...

Considering...that this was their first game...and that they haven't practiced (?) as much due to quarantine issues (if that's correct feel free to correct y'all) I was ok with the game last night. Sooo many new faces. Hopefully with the addition of Engaras and MacKinnon (both finishing quarantines as per the UNH announcers) maybe a difference. Would agree tho Dan...offense has to come from somewhere and they did have their chances last night. Crookshank looks great and agree was amazed he didn't pot one or two. We'll see what kind of adjustments they make tonight. I'm not putting alot of stock into this weekend and felt that once Maine got up to speed more in the 2nd and certainly 3rd I thought UNH was in a bit of trouble?

Felt we moved the puck and were able to get out of the zone ok; Maine had a decent forecheck going but I was happy with skating it out and putting shots on net. 'Course those shots have to go in and we will need to generate some offense would like to see if that happens tonight. Thought Maine's Thiessen (sp) was strong in net and wonder if TyT gets the nod for tonight. I'm fine with Robinson's performance. What did people think about the 3 on 3 and the shootout for OT ?

If the season completes or standings are tight this will be one to look back on.

Crookshank looked like a player who was on a mission last night and was at another level. Unfortunately the mission was to hit the Blackbear on the goalie

I thought the first two PP looked good and different. Cycling high and low moving just north luck. The last 5 had the stale old two high three across goal line. 0-7 is where the game was lost.

What I found dreadful to the point it was laughable was the 3 on 3 OT. It’s not a player or talent issue but a Whit issue and the big ice. It is too slow. Watching guys enter the zone not having a lane and retreating back to your own zone is unwatchable.

Currently 4th in the standings.... though it’s hard to tell since the hockey east page isn’t updated. Yes league page is a mess
