UND @ SCSU: The Protesting Series

Re: UND @ SCSU: The Protesting Series

On the second goal, he's way out of the net, leaving plenty of room for the Sioux boy to score.

I hate to say it but that second goal was a thing of beauty. UND hung our skaters, and then subsequently Lee, out to dry. All he could do is occupy as much real estate as possible and hope hope Frattin didn't get good location on the shot, which isn't likely.

The leads against UNO and fUMD were by 3 goals really early. This was a 1-goal lead that we had for about 6 minutes. Hardly the same.

Not saying its the exact same, just saying in the last four games we've had the lead in the third period in all four, and the only one we held was the huge one in Duluth. And I know its pointless to play the "if" game, but those four points would've put us tied for 5th against Wisconsin with them coming into town next weekend.

Tonight's arguably the biggest game of the season. They tied with a good team, but a one point weekend would be unacceptable and back to back three point weekends would be huge. They need not only a good game but 60 full minutes, not 50 or 55.

Oh I agree. They have to win the Final Five to get into the NCAAs, but these guys are totally capable of stringing together a couple good games. They've skated right with the top 2 teams in the league in consecutive weekends.

Re: UND @ SCSU: The Protesting Series

Was last night the first time Lee didn't lose to UND? If memory serves me right he's now 0-5-1, yeah?

Re: UND @ SCSU: The Protesting Series

SCSU should have won? Because they played one decent period last night? :)

I think he was saying this because they had the lead with less than 4 minutes to go. Good teams figure out a way to protect their lead in big games. This is something the Huskies have struggled with pretty consistently.

Hats off to Frattin and UND. After allowing 3 unanswered goals, a lot of teams would have folded. Trust me, we seem to know a thing or two about this scenario.

Good game last night. Looking forward to tonight.

Thanks for the compliment towards the Gophers!

Re: UND @ SCSU: The Protesting Series

That deal is done. No more protesters.
Done as in the name is gone, or done as in no one at SCSU cares anymore?

The name may or may not be gone, BTW. There is a bill in the ND House right now that would require the school to keep the name under state law.

I think no one cares anymore. Good luck with the legislative route. In the meantime, they're making a ton of money on logo wear.
