UND at UW: Let's get hostile, let's get abusive

Re: UND at UW: Let's get hostile, let's get abusive

Q. What’s the best thing to come out of North Dakota in the past 50 years?

A. Interstate 94

Re: UND at UW: Let's get hostile, let's get abusive

If it did bother me at all, it would be way down on the list of reasons why you people are sketchy. The apparent required wearing of jerseys, required ATV ownership, NRA membership and green tinsel hair are way above this.

No ATV or NRA membership for me. And I have brown hair, no tinsel.
But I do own jerseys. Are UW fans like BC fans and can only wear t-shirts to hockey games? :p

Re: UND at UW: Let's get hostile, let's get abusive

Well yes, but the Packer-Cowboy game was two days ago and Phil's BFF asked when the last time you saw a fat bearded woman plastered in green.

I cannot defend Green Bay in any way.

And I'm more of a Phil fan as he doesn't even know I exist. -sigh- :(

You coming to the games? I still remember seeing you in the front of the student section having to do the Tequila dance back and forth or be trampled. Priceless! :D

Re: UND at UW: Let's get hostile, let's get abusive

BTW, did all you NoDaker's buy new Camaros for the drive over or are you still IROC-in' it out?

Re: UND at UW: Let's get hostile, let's get abusive

The only good thing about North Dakota? I once got an open container ticket and it was $40. Almost cracked another beer right there on the spot.

Re: UND at UW: Let's get hostile, let's get abusive

It's funny when people try to link to sites that don't allow it

Worked on my end, but maybe not for you dial-up users in ND.

[EDIT]: Filters at job are compromising my ability to see images. I'll have to stop posting all the great finds, or wait until I get home.

Yes, thank you for showing that you don't understand what I said and thus proving that I was correct. You don't understand the Internet so it might be best if you just stopped using it.

Re: UND at UW: Let's get hostile, let's get abusive

Living in Wisconsin, I can tell you that the people living here are really great. When I was growing up in North Dakota, other kids would make fun of my large, sloped forehead, bushy eyebrows and always having an open mouth that a lot of times had a little drool coming out. I'm not real quick either, so my response was usually to hit people. I have big hands and real long arms, so I could hit people a long ways away.

Luckily, my parents decided it would be good for me to grow up somewhere where there were more like me, and they moved to Wisconsin. It has been a real blessing. Here, I'm pretty much like other people--maybe even on the smart side. People ask me for advice on all kinds of things. This is my home.

One bit of advice, though. When those Nodaks come to town Friday, keep a good distance away if you make fun of them--they have a longer reach than you think.

Thank you for that. See, a rip without Deer or Thinner. There's hope!

Hogwash. My dad served two stints in Vietnam and he yells "Home of the Sioux" louder than I do. :p

I offer my sincerest thanks to him for serving our country. :) What branch did he serve in and what was his role over there?

Conversely, he is still from North Dakota, that would explain his poor judgement.

Re: UND at UW: Let's get hostile, let's get abusive

I actually think it's great that you do that. It tends to wake up and remind our otherwise comatose crowd (sans the students) that a rival is in town.

If it did bother me at all, it would be way down on the list of reasons why you people are sketchy. The apparent required wearing of jerseys, required ATV ownership, NRA membership and green tinsel hair are way above this.

When you folks look at the people on TV (not talking Jerry Springer Show etc), do you even realize that those people don't look or talk like you? I mean, when's the last time you saw a fat 40 year old woman in green spandex pants, green hockey jersey topped off with a mustache and she-mullet? (other than my mom, hahahaha...)

You people are on par with Appalachians, rural southern folk, bums & hobos, everyone from Indiana, the Tea Party, Michigan militia and the minuteman movement. You are part of the redneck-hick, simpleton underbelly of this country.

So if it makes you happy to have you little customs, I say great. As long as you don't ask me to squeal like a pig. ;)

Wisconsin/ites:
-Call other people "folks"
-More bars than churches
-Wear camo or Packer jerseys to church
-Consider Minneapolis exotic
-Have more miles on their houses than their cars
-The only difference between a cocktail and paint thinner is ice cubes
-No one is allowed out in the daylight in Milwaukee due to city law prohibiting ugly people to roam the streets during sunlit hours
-The women of Kenosha are so ugly it is illegal for men to be aroused in public
-The world record weight for a pumpkin is held by Wisconsin at nearly 1,800lbs, it was weighed on one of the scales in the Lambeau Field women's bathroom
-Prince Fielder loves Milwaukee because he is considered thin
-Out of the 1,000 fans that show up for Bucks games, half expect to play

Thank you google.

He was Army. His main role was giving new Army soldier arrivals their assignments for where they would be stationed and what they would be doing.
But his "claim to fame" was that he and his roommates spent their money on a cooler and stocked cold soda. If you were a soldier stationed at his base, the only way to get a cold beverage was to go visit him. :)

But he's not a native North Dakotan...born and raised in Duluth, MN and then moved to Grand Forks for school.

What's wrong with that?

I cannot defend Milwaukee either.

Google sure is fun. Here's what an image search of "North Dakota Fighting Sioux Fan" turned up.
