Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

Wow, hoky, you don't seem to be too well the last two days? Not handling the Warsofsky news well? Mistake the Ike and Mike's in your van for your real pills again?

This whole thing is absolutely pure comedy.

So I think even though you won't agree despite evidence to the contrary, we all have been hoping for the best for Malcolm "Styles" Lyles. I know I sure do.

Several BC know it alls saying he should be a good 6-8 or cant skate or whatever doesnt sound like "rooting" for anyone to me. It is only pure comedy because know it all fans want to come here and tell UML they are getting their rejects. Lap dog/patronizing backhanded compliments are a joke. You don't do what he did out there this year unless you can flat out play. Did you ever think maybe ity clicked and the coach out there finaly got through to him, in regards to how to play D? Every single thing posted came off a newspaper or web page from another, not me.

I guess the coaches out there who voted him in as first team all star are clueless. They to should have called BC and asked if it was ok.

.
Very happy for DW, knew about it for sometime. He needs to go to the pro game, which is much more skill oriented and better suited for where he is at. Days of playing checkers are over, on to chess.

Who said either of these things?

know it all fans want to come here and tell UML they are getting their rejects.

Haven't seen this either. It would help if you'd simply stop putting words in peoples mouths.

As I believe someone else said, you just keep regurgitating the same stuff over and over. Then you proceed to say things that nobody on here has said about him.

Very happy for DW, knew about it for sometime.

You just can't help yourself, can you?

He didn't have a good year this year defensively. For your sake, hopefully that was just a bad year. He was playing chinese checkers out there.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

Ha, this is pretty accurate. Rather than get in a war of words with a poster I won't name, here is my assessment on Lyles:

Very, very raw. Undersized d-man, but very quick. Not an elite skater (fast, but stumbled around at times), but can jump into the play/make a play. Was hoping to see more of him, but the biggest thing is, he needs ice time. A little to jumpy at times, getting himself out of position, but if he gets a chance to play at UML, I think he can turn into a decent bottom pairing guy. I'm definitely interested to see how he does.

Who said these things? You for one you loud mouthed ja** A**

You spew so much diarreah you cant even keep track of it...

I've finally caught you in your lies. I was waiting for you to bring that up. I said he was fast, but not an elite skater. I never once said he "can't skate". You suck at this.

Edit: Also, I said he could be a decent bottom pairing guy. That means 5-6, not 6-8.

Thanks for proving my point.

So apparently no matter how many times you ask politely, the BC fans just won't shut up.
If you hit the ignore button it is amazing how much the thread shrinks. Of course those of us from UML don't really need to say anything in here~ someone else thinks they should say it for us:rolleyes:

Enough already.

As stated, arrogant patronizing/backhanded compliments from arrogant bc blowhards.

here is another one of your gracious compliments...

(Quote by JD ) We've already been through this. IMO, when someone shows a propensity to stumble around and fall down, that doesn't make him an elite skater.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

Just be happy Lowell, better days are coming soon.

Talked with a guy today who said Carlson from Cedar Rapids in USHL has in fact tossed his name in, he also mentioned Mactavish.

Again, thanks for proving my point that I never said he "can't skate".

owned.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

I agree, you were simply showering him with praise. Typical BC arrogance. Will be fun next year.

Putting words in my mouth again--shocker. Nope, didn't shower him with praise, but never said he couldn't skate either. Just gave my honest opinion. No arrogance involved--try learning a different word since you clearly don't know the definiton of arrogant/arrogance.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

Definition of ARROGANCE
: an attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or in presumptuous claims or assumptions

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

Tyler Brickler of Westside was off the board, did have a high sticking penalty
I look for Tyler to have instant impact once he arrives at UML based on his age 91' and his skill set which will be well recieved and appreciated by UML staff and fans.

Malcolm on the other hand as an older 90' player competing against 91', 92', and 93' competition should help solidify the bottom end 6,7,8 players of the UML defensive core going forward. As dicussed in great detail before his struggles at BC getting ice time competing against his age group at the Hockey East level are well documented. He has no doubt benefited from being an overager playing against much younger competition which should help his confidence on the second time around. As some of the older talent has graduated from Hockey East his chances to play a role at the lower backend for UML look good from my perspective.

As stated before by me, you will be quite pleased with the new coach and the different direction he takes the program.
another compliment from a BC fan... Even telling you that you will be happy with new coach and programs direction. Not even remotely arrogant

Can't tell from the bumbled post who said this, but I would pretty much agree. Hokydad, I'm sure you'll get on this person for saying Lyles will help solidify the bottom end 6,7,8 players of the UML defense.

Also agree that there was nothing arrogant about this particular quote either.

It came fro BCHF

I am sure you wouldn't.... I am sure he has seen several games in Vernon and has talked with several scouts to strengthen his very knowlegeable post

Real strange how only BC fans feel the need to run to the Lowell recruit thread and make sure that they punch holes in a new committ

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

As I said, I pretty much agree with what he said. Funny how you don't get on him though for saying Lyles could be a 6-8 guy, yet that's exactly what you used to try and criticize other BC posters (even though nobody said it). Try to be consistent at least.

Real strange how only BC fans feel the need to run to the Lowell recruit thread and make sure that they punch holes in a new committ

Ha, where did Malcolm Lyles play in college for two years? That's why BC fans are giving their opinion on him. If giving an honest opinion equates to "punching holes" in your book, so be it.
