Re: UML Recruiting, Building for 2018 and on

2019 list of players to watch for the NHL Draft came out today. Interestingly, there's one person listed as a Lowell recruit, but this is the first I've heard of it. He's listed as a Lowell recruit on this list, but I can't find any confirmation on him anywhere else? He's also listed as uncommitted on the Sioux Falls site.

What an interesting background on this kid. Played in Sweden and a dual citizen... one last name that might be Italian or Spanish.

NeutralZone has Andre Lee has a 4* recruit BTW. And a comment on him from Jeff Cox "He's big and very good."

Heisenberg has Lee coming in 2019, while Fowler has either a 2021 or 2022 (he's just starting his sophomore season at Governor's Academy).

Not sure if these kids were already in the recruiting pipeline before Pags arrived, but if not, it seems like he's off to a good start.

It’s nice when we can get one in our backyard for a change.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for 2018 and on

To fill in a few gaps here. Lowell and several other non-BU/BC Hockey East schools had been on Fowler since May when he had a breakthrough performance at Mass Festival.

His coach at Central Catholic was former Lowell player and current Bruins skating coach Kim Brandvold. He’s transferred to Governor's where he will play for new coach Brian McGuirk who had coached him growing up with the Top Gun program.

Fowler brings energy, compete. He doesn’t score because of his skill or his hockey IQ. He scores because he’s stronger, wins battles, and goes to the net.
