I know he practiced yesterday. Not sure if he's playing tonight or not. I was told they may hold him back since it's a non-conference game, but that decision hadn't been made yet.

I hope we aren't taking this lightly.

Kaiser lives locally. He should do the ceremonial puck drop tonight.
this made me laugh out loud.

Goal was a fluke. I don't know how you could tell we were getting sloppy. OUr guys so outclassed the AIC skaters they could have been blindfolded and done OK. Some of those kids couldn't pivot.

Right before they scored, several of us were muttering 'uh oh'. I am not sure I would characterize it as a fluke.

Maybe I was so bored into submission I didn't notice.

Maine plays AIC twice right after playing the River Hawks on Sunday. I anticipate a good game at Alfond Arena Sunday. Maine has good goal tending but struggles scoring (more so on the road). Maine won last year in OT.

they were lax on that defensive sequence... Carr may want that one back but it wasn't like our guys were playing to their ability on that play... just passive and it cost them... minor consequence in a dominating game.

edit: lets put it this way... they have a sequence like that against maine we'd be pulling hair.

I had a hard time taking the game seriously. The skill level of some of those AIC players was so poor I found it embarrassing to watch. wasn't really paying attention at that point. The little kid in front of me was more entertaining!

Lowell took their foot off the gas after the second goal in less than a 1:10 into the game.

At no point should anyone in that arena have been worried about anything. AIC was embarrassingly bad. Lowell started playing up and...up, I guess? Can't call it up and down because AIC's time in zone could have been measured on a stop watch. You could see Lowell start to get cute and have some fun with it by the beginning of the second period.

Yeah, I said this was a pad your stats kind of game. AIC just had nothing to compete with Lowell in this one. I'm not even sure there's much that Lowell can take out of this, except maybe some confidence (in Wallin's case especially).

Jim Connelly mentioned at the end of the postgame show that were it not for this game, they would have had a 15-day break between the Notre Dame game and the Maine game to finish off the 1st half. It was basically a glorified scrimmage to help them get their legs back after Thanksgiving.

I thought AIC would put up more of a fight, very few body checks all night. The Hawks skated hard for much of the game which was good to see. Hard to judge just how well the team played since it was so one sided. They certainly will not have that much time and space with the puck on Sunday. It was good to see some scoring from some different players.

Good thing the Hawks didn't scrimmage Sacred Heart. ;) :p
