UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Starman picked Lowell to win the tournament during last year's selection show. So its probably good he didn't pick us to win this time. :p

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Hey Patronick.. JCarter is starting a HE vs ECAC brawl online with the Union crew... he might need some help ;)

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Gotta love waking up this morning knowing for the third straight year... we are in the tourney again!!!

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Worcester... should be easy enough for me. Can I get a ticket through somebody? I MIGHT not do that... if its Sat/Sun then I should have no problem going with my father.

Bridgeport... Depends upon opponents, probably not an issue getting tickets. Not sure if I want to cold bother kingdobbs (UConn fan/alum) for couch space. Will probably take the train.

Cincinnati... Will want to go in on hotel. Monty, would like to coordinate ASAP.
Mr went to buy tix today and found out we can only buy the whole weekend pkg. Lil can't go the first night. Only place you can get singles is the DCU center. Anyone heading out there to get tix the next few days? Would prefer to get ticket for Sat before Sat and not pay the rape charge to order online (yes I am a cheap person!!)

I talk about Hellebuyck when I'm discussing routine maintenance with my mechanic so I don't see why ESPNU has to dodge that issue.
THis still has me chuckling. I, of course, genuflect whenever BC or ND are mentioned. Don't you all?

They have Starman's predictions on espn.com. He picks UML as the only non #1 seed to advance to Philly. He said we're better than last year, so there isn't any lack of respect.
Hey, don't ruin the fun.

It's a 30 minute selection show. There are more important things to focus on, like Minnesota State.
And that they are having some league lacrosse game on afterward. Don't miss that!

Finally, at least Philly is in the running for Folin, and more here on Folin.
According to tweet below UNH defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk has signed with Chicago.

Blackhawks sign college free agent D Trevor van Riemsdyk (New Hampshire), who was No. 2 on @chrismpeters big board: http://unitedstatesofhockey.com/2014/03/12/college-hockey-free-agent-tracker-2014/

The order sheet that was available at the selection show event yesterday was due to Tsongas Center box office today at 5:00 so it's Ticketmaster or in person at DCU box office (to avoid fees) from here on out. That's what I was told by box office today. However, the updated UML tournament page notes the packages are available until 7:00pm Tuesday at the Tsongas box office.

Most likely I'll just head down first thing Saturday to buy for that day as the $47.50 gets you into both games that day, then play Sunday by ear.

By the way, according to the Tsongas box office the designated UML sections are 118 - 121.

Thanks for the section info. You can get them as a pkg until tomorrow however Lil will want to go Sunday and to sit together I would have to buy 2 pkg deals for the 2 days. I can be as optimistic as I want but I am not risking 100+ dollars getting 2 tix for the 2 days in case something bad happens. If they don't make it no way in * Mr would want to go Sunday and neither would I.

I feel so spoiled about this. The year I enrolled into UML they have one of the best turnarounds in NCAA history. The year after we win our first HE regular season and post season title, and make it to the Frozen Four for the first time. Now we are in the NCAA tournament for the third year in a row, won back to back Hockey East titles, including the first ever two-time MVP for the Hockey East tournament. Seriously I could not have hopped onto the Lowell train at a better time. :D

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Someone gave UML a number 1 vote?
Ending the year the way we started... well almost hah.
Union polled first in the nation, are they really that good right now?

All we need is for you to take classes for the rest of your life!

My first year at Lowell, the team went on a 20 game winless streak and the UMass Board of Trustees almost canned the whole program. You're lucky!

My first year was 95/96 with Crowder at the helm. That was a pretty awesome year to start but Cleggy I think you have us all beat!

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

I'd love to hear what Stevie Tocco thinks of our hockey program now. Probably still thinks we should drop to D3 or join the AHA so we have a better shot competing for national championships.

I'd have to agree with this.

My first year was 92/93, and while we had a good program in that stretch, I couldn't have ever foreseen this.

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

The Crowder days. I miss heckling him! 95-96 was my first year with Merrimack. Awesome to see you guys do so well. Such a big difference even though there have been some great Lowell teams since then. Bring back Yorick!

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

As someone in the exact same boat as Cleggy, gotta say I feel lucky to have been able to start following the team when I did.

Also my birthday is Sunday, last years birthday present was sweet (First FF)... This year could start a trend
