Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?
Agree with Bazin, I also felt like we walked out of there with a tie that felt like a win.
And, I agree with the comments on the atmosphere. I knew it was going to be special when I got to my seat 20 minuets prior to puck-drop and the stands were already pretty full. Amazing crowd, that was just fantastic. And yes, very much a pro-Lowell crowd. Outside of the top of two sections that had BC fans, they were pretty sparse around the stadium. As Patronick also noted, I was thinking the same thing, mentioning to people before the third "Let's get one. Let's let the guys hear how much backing they have," and once they scored, the place lit up. The crowd was into the game from the beginning but when you haven't scored for five straight periods against a team, nerves start to hit. I really thought we played our best hockey of the season in the third and in OT.
BTW, if this BC team doesn't win the NC, something's wrong in the world. Fast, talented, great d and goalkeeping, some bruisers ... wow, what a team. I'm trying to remember the last time I saw a team bring out their first forward line and one defender for shorthanded situations. No wonder they're so dangerous when they're killing penalties.
