UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

Second time for Doug, congrats to him again! And a great job by Wilson once again this month. He'd have won this if he could have put up a couple of points this past weekend.

I don't know if there is a measurable scale you can chart Doug Carr's turnaround from last year's debacle to this season's mind boggling performance. In a league that's really devoid of a goalie name outside of (arguably) Millan and Cannata, he's right up with them at the top of that short list.

Comparing the GA from last season to this season over the first 17 HE games, the team went from 66 GA to 42 GA. Another way you can look at that stat is averaging it out per game, Lowell is allowing 1.41 fewer goals per game, at 2.47. Add that to the +1.11 GFPG and it's going to translate into a few more wins for your team :D.

We have talked about our offensive gains this year, but I'd never thought our defense, (currently ranked second in GAPG), would even come close to putting up the numbers they have had. The new faces on defense (Kamrass, Suter) along with Furlong (who's a completely different player than he was last year) anchored by Ruhwedel can't be overlooked. Without question, the defense has answered the bell with interest and I'm hoping that they can continue the success that they have all fought so hard to obtain.

Didn't Carr have a pretty significant injury at the end of his juniors career before coming to Lowell?

FYI, it pays to call the box office. :D I got 4 tickets in Row K of Section 12. There were 13 tickets available in that row.

On Tuesday, I went to the box office at lunch being ten minutes from my office. He told me that Row D was the higher row available in Section 12 after pressing him.

Gotta work on that cute voice :)

Got 3 tickets for Section 13/Row J. Unlike arenas where there are no "real" bad seats, at Lawler there are no real great seats. I wanted to be higher up at the end Lowell shoots twice, and these tickets accomplished that at least.

Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

There are quite a few good seats, especially the last three rows at center ice. J in 12 will give you a good view.

Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

Just picked up my tickets online. Section 1, general admission. Would've been nice to sit with other Lowell fans but I'll take a seat wherever I can get it. Can't believe their next three games are already sold out!

Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

Seems like a really good amount of Lowell fans will be there. Unfortunately it seems like we've all completely forgotten there are a few games prior to that, including two this weekend. ;)

I hate when that happens, especially since you went to the box office. I bought tickets online the other day and ended up with section 13, row K, although I think I have the last few seats in the row. At least I'm up high.

I really like the ticket system that NU uses. When I bought tickets online for the last Lowell game at NU I was able to see all the available seats in each section. I was able to pick which seats I wanted and ended up with first row balcony.

Yeah, this is the problem where you know you have to win the next two games at home against the tenth-place team.

So, I'm watching the Bruins game and have seen three promos for the Beanpot. That's interesting as NESN is broadcasting a HE league game on Saturday night.

The annual Monday tournament?

Either way, Saturday I'm headed to Penn Quarter Sports Tavern to watch the game. I don't want to be disappointed.

If we want to dance we need to pick up these wins... Period.
