That's so awesome.

Yes it is. I met his family a few years ago and they were the nicest people.

Going to the game on Thursday, can't make Friday and hopefully won't have to go Sunday. What a fantastic season so far.

Old news. ;)
if Dima keeps his shirt (no burning in the next few weeks) and both these guys make it all 4 years that could make for one interesting senior night... how many national anthems can you cram together.
Doesn't sound like Sinitsyn will be here four years, but we'll see. As I mentioned on the recruiting thread, this currently leaves us with 3 seniors, 10 juniors, 10 sophomores and 10 freshmen next year ... if everyone sticks. We're not evening the classes as of now.

Well having three of the classes being even is CLOSER to even, amirite? :)

I am fairly sure that he's evened the classes in one year more than Blaise did in his whole tenure. Obviously, still more work to be done but it's progress.

UML's commitment to hockey gets a small shout-out on INCH:

TWEET OF THE WEEK
@KGordonSentinel Kevin Gordon

College hockey needs to compact its schedule to avoid playoff games over break. Crowds are embarrassing.

• Kevin Gordon of the Bowling Green Sentinel-Tribune raised this item from his wishlist over the weekend, but it’s a bit unrealistic without drastically altering the hockey season (not going to happen) or taking spring break off of academic calendars (definitely not going to happen). However, there are alternate considerations that might be made, and UMass Lowell is taking advantage of that. The campus residences have a contingency plan to close at a later date, depending if the team is hosting a decisive Sunday game. That’s some campus-wide commitment to the hockey program. (emphasis added.)

Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

Since our season is over, I've decided to root for UML from here on out. I like how you guys play hockey and your rags to riches turnaround this season. Just wanted to let you know that you have this going for you now too! :D

Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

College Hockey Weekly gives out it's All-Conference Teams, with Doug Carr and Scott Wilson both making the Second Team and Coach Bazin being the COTY.

You can't argue with Milner's numbers, but Carr really was the best goalie in HE this year given what was perceived of this team and what actually occurred. But they don't give it out on perception. The 2nd BU and Mack games are what cost him that first team spot.

Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

Interesting look by Chaz at the attendance bump this year.

Also, I thought I heard that student's aren't on break this week, but next. Chaz is saying the opposite?

Apologies if it has already been mentioned but according to HE website - http://www.hockeyeastonline.com/men/statistics/1112/oaattend.php

Lowell has the 4th best home attendance in the league behind BC, BU and UNH, and more then 1000 people more then the league average.
Last year Lowell was 5th, but only 100 people more then the league average.

Any word on how well the ticket sales are going for this weekend?

I'll be bailing out of work a bit early tomorrow to grab tickets for Thursday and Friday. The $10 service charge buying them online is outrageous. Are there fees if purchased over the phone and held at will call?

I believe there are still fees, the box office route is the cheapest.

Only reason I bought them online was because I was coming up from DC and I feared a sellout. I choked on the convenience fees and threatened to have a long conversation w mr casey... Empty threat, sure.... But I wasnt in the mood.

They're offering a living social deal or one of those... 4 tickets for $39.
