It's over. Not mathematically but realistically it's done.

Sigh. Most disappointing season I've experienced as a Bulldog fan.

Ok, before the Bulldog faithful have exploding heads. They are still a very good team that has seen very few breaks this season. My pick for the conference tourney winner :)

I'd like to think it is redemption for the refs !@#$ing up in the Dec. 5, 2009 game between UND and UMD in Duluth. UMD gets game tying goal with 33 seconds left in the third period. The goal shouldn't have counted though as it was clear as flipping day that just prior to UMD scoring the goal, the puck had hit the netting behind the UMD net. Play should've been blown dead but instead UMD races down the ice and scores the tying goal and they ended up winning in OT.

Refs make mistakes is the bottom line. The penalty shot was questionable/weak.

Just watched the replay and the worst part is the official took forever to make the penalty shot call... its almost like the crowd and the moment talked him into it.

I don't think it matters if the defender is "even" with the play if the shooter loses a clear opportunity to score and the defender is not between the shooter and the goaltender. In that case, the defender could be beside the shooter or even a little in front but not directly between the shooter and the goalie. Matter of positioning.

At least that's the green glasses viewpoint. :)

If there is one good thing that came out of last night's game it is the absolute epic whining from a number of UMD fans. From UMD got screwed to the announcers love UND to the refs hate us to UND always gets the calls to UND fans are spoiled to UND is being goons to UMD never gets calls. I'm pretty sure every possible complaint has been made in the last 12+ hours.

If that was the case there would be way more penalty shots. Soucy dove in front of Poganski. It was a bad call.

It's the truth! We did get screwed...but whatever. The announcers do love UND as they never fail to mention them on ESPN during a selection show, you're so spoiled and you don't even know it!
