It was a hit from behind near the boards. However, a similar hit earlier in the game drew a 2 instead of a 5, so there's that.

I couldn't care less who wins this game. It's just a shame he turned his back at the last second and got hit from behind. It's tough for a player to stop when he is going for a shoulder check and suddenly it's a checking from behind and a five at that. Might teach the Miami player to not turn last second since he seemed injured from the hit. Of course he was back out the next shift so clearly not.
