Last word, according to Mike McMahon of CHN is that a senators scout said Folin is not signing with anyone and will be back next year.

To clarify, he said "According to an Ottawa Senators scout, Christian Folin is not leaving Lowell to sign with the Senators."

So...Folin could still leave, but not with Ottawa if I read that correctly. McMahon usually has good sources and had been tweeting previous to that tweet that Folin is a good prospect and because of his age is likely candidate to take off early.

I am working up to figure out how to deal with the intentional blockage of the main entrance/exit to our section(s) tonight. That was intensely inexcusable.

Ushers... The way that it was set up was that all the for those sections had to enter and exit from that common point unless you had access to a club room (I forget the appropriate term)... You had a ton of people working to a common choke point as a result.

Forgetting the fact that UML played their worst game of the year at a most unfortunate time on Thursday (and despite playing so horribly, the game still went to OT), UML is a team that only won 5 games two seasons ago and has put together their best back-to-back D1 seasons in their history. Two consecutive NCAA tourney appearances, their first trip to the Frozen Four, and their first HE regular season and tournament championships this year...I'll take that after what we lived through two years ago. All things considered, none of us expected this to happen so soon and many would agree we're probably ahead of schedule based upon expectations two years ago. What's changed is anything short of a trip to the Garden and NCAAs each year will be a failed season with the expectations being so high now.

I agree, now all we have to do is wait and hope that we get some more hardware next year.

And no other players decide to leave early!

Will be nice to see "2013" added to the NCAA tournament appearance banner at Tsongas as well as a HE regular season banner, HE tournament banner, and probably a 2013 Frozen Four banner. Opening night will be fun next season.

Today's Lowell Sun (last page of sports section) has a full page ad from UML/team thanking the fans for their support this season.

IMO, the tournament banner should be the frozen four banner. If we won the thing we wouldn't hang two separate champ and participant banners

My thought is since they already have the NCAA appearance banner that they added the 2012 to this year, they would also add 2013 to that one for consistency. Then since they made the Frozen Four, that's another level of acheivement and they would do a separate one for that.

To be honest I'll admit that I do not know what the banner situation is like currently.

Last time I saw them I thought they looked ugly but they were individualized by year

That's right, you probably haven't seen what's up lately. 1 each for the NCAA DII championships, 1 for Bill Riley's career totals, and 1 for NCAA D1 appearances listed by year on the single banner.

I know the outcome was not what you wanted, but it was fun to be in Pittsburge, wearing Providence gear and rooting for our friends at UML. Congrats on a fine season.
