UMass Lowell Offseason Thread '13: In Norm We Trust

I know some of you were looking for tickets for the Penn State games. Saw this on twitter today:

@PennStateMHKY: #PennState's home opener vs. Army is completely sold out. 200 tix + SRO will be available for most games. #HockeyValley

@PennStateMHKY: Fans can purchase single-game tix Oct. 3 at BJC Athletic Ticket Office or by calling 1-800-NITTANY. #HockeyValley

Good luck getting tickets!

Well I guess I won't be going to Penn State for the two games this year.

FYI Wentworth will be playing 5 'home' games at Tsongas this season - http://www.wentworthathletics.com/sports/mice/2013-14/schedule. Don't know what happened with their Matthews Arena tenancy. They tended to have a decent student turnout for games since it is local to campus so it is too bad, but they did not seem to be entirely respected there - I know I shot a few games that were scheduled on the late side and which could have been moved earlier IF Northeastern had communicated that they were cancelling their ice reservation. (Comments totally my opinion formed by limited observation and not coming from anyone at WIT.)

If you are local to Lowell, you should definitely check them out.

Thanks for the info. Good for Lowell helping out Wentworth (even if they're making them pay some kind of rent).

EDIT: There are indeed up to 75 tickets set aside for visiting teams for each game. I don't know how they are distributed, but they are there.

Posted in the Pegula thread. PSU is giving UML 75 tickets for them to disperse. How many they give to the players' families and how many are available for sale to you guys is a different issue.

Well, I know for a fact that the team requires 75 comps for the team, so that takes care of the 75 right there.

That seems a little high since each player is only allowed a max of 4. I would be surprised if over 18 players maxed out their allotment, but it is possible I suppose.
