Nice to see another #5 that can put the puck in the net. Not much to complain about that one. New Jumbotron looks great. Now they just need better cameras.

I cant quite compare head on with last years team but if tonight is an indication its a good one. Do I think they'll be top flight? No. Should they contend for an ncaa bid, I think so.

They didn’t look terrible online, but on the ice they were definitely an eyesore. I thought their old golds were a good color; not sure why they decided to switch to neon yellow
Solid start. The freshmen seemed to get more comfortable as the game went on. Specifically Shipley and Tnias on the back end. Shipley started making more plays with the puck and Tnias was playing more assertive in all three zones. Also, that fourth line could create absolute misery for teams throughout the season. They spent a lot of time in the O-zone and Adaszynski plays the exact same way as Eddy- heavy and hard. They were both finishing hits all night and brought the speed and tenacity you want from role players. Definitely some sloppy play that you would expect from opening night but glad most of the guys got settled in as the game went on. Kind of nitpicking here, but the last few minutes of the game they seemed to fall into the "this one's over, let's just go through the motions to finish it off" mentality, which can't become a habit. Let's see what happens on the road next week.
Overall, extremely pleased with what I saw on Friday night. They gave me what I asked for (for one game at least); the entertainment at home and a win.
One player that needs to get some credit is Elliott. He wasn't tested often, but he did make some huge saves, especially late in the first when Merrimack was trying to even out the game.
