Is anyone heading over to Merrimack Friday night? I plan to be there, I expect a tough game.

Six of us are heading over. :) Got tickets in a different section so I wouldn't be behind the net with the camera.

gochiefs asked a question and I answered with a little sarcasm. Was my answer incorrect? And why is sarcasm a bad thing? I find that position rather odd coming from someone who was one of the creators of "The Ice is Life". As for the videos, he said that he wished Lowell posted highlight videos - so I posted that they did and gave the links to them. This is a bad thing?

Shocking that you could be wrong, I know, but I never once wrote anything for The Ice is Life. And it's not that your answers that are the problem, it's your incessant need to prove that you know everything and anything about Lowell hockey and God forbid someone posts something incorrectly, you have to jump down they're throat and say they're wrong. For example, I posted something on Twitter about the number of HE goalies in the NHL. I said there were at least 4 or 5, and within a minute of the tweet, you are saying, try more like 11. There's no need for it. There's a way to give information without having the dick tone, and yes I said dick because that's what it comes across to me.

Anyway, onto Merrimack.

I much prefer the old style of highlights that was just the radio broadcast over the goals. Not so much into the narration. Also I wish they'd show a little more of the play developing.

Agreed on all points. Miss the old highlights. And I'm finding the game recaps a bit lacking too compared to the older ones (also misspellings, punctuation errors, etc....do interns write them now?).

you don't say.

Haven't been to the Mack since they made you walk across the world to get to the rink and got all crazy about sitting in the right place. I decided to listen at home. Now I can't listen at home so get a bunch of stuff done and check on here for updates every once in awhile.

In addition to the Hawkey Way Homecoming events outside around the Tsongas on Saturday from 3-6, they're going to be having an alumni hockey game from 3-4:30 which is open to the public. It was fun to catch some of it last year and even saw Ray Bourke suit up and play as I heard a he's friends with a former Lowell player.

And Beer Works debuted a nice, little pregame buffet last weekend that runs from 5-7 and well worth the $16.95 as you'll pay at least that for an appetizer and a burger off the regular menu. Takes a lot of pressure off the kitchen on busy game nights. Definitely taking that in again this Saturday.

I'll be heading there Friday with 3 others.
You're right about this being a tough game. I'm thinking Lowell gets out to quick 2-0 lead and ends up winning 4-2.

I saw Mack Saturday night. D and goaltending very solid. Good team. My guess is you'll see a low scoring physical game.

Wow, they only have three ND games this year. Was it last year or two years ago it seemed like every game they showed on NESN was an ND game...

I think you are confusing NESN games and NBCSN games. With ND's broadcast contract with NBC, they have 10 games on NBCSN, with their remaining home games picked up by nbc sports live extra (free online streaming)

The table on the NESN site is wrong for the November 15 game vs Maine. Lowell is at Maine and not at home.
