UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread II

Re: UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread II

Has anyone received anything from UML regarding tickets to the garden?

Re: UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread II

As season ticket holders, we were able to purchase our garden tickets at the ticket window last night, though we could only specify the section and not the specific seats since the blocks of seats have not been given. I believe tickets will be available to all this Monday which was in an email that UML sent out last night

Re: UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread II

I would prefer Providence. That will help the most with the pairwise scheme won't it?
So who do people prefer to play next Friday? Tomorrow, if BC wins, Lowell gets Providence and if Vermont wins, we get Northeastern.

Re: UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread II

Lowell's, already a lock for the tournament. I don't think it matters who they play because I think they'll face both if they were to win it all.

Agreed, I would prefer NU, because their thread is getting insufferable and that could make this week more fun. If we lose to either we will be sitting around 11-13 in the Pairwise, so will either be a bottom 3 seed or a top 4. Plus the longer we can keep the alliance on the better

Updated ticket info from UML athletics Facebook -

Season Ticket Holders are able to buy their ticket packages in the UML sections exclusively through end of business Monday. We'll open up those seats to general public on Tuesday. Student packages, including both games and bus transportation will be available for $10 beginning Tuesday at noon.

Lowell will play Providence in the early game on Friday - 5pm faceoff.

Re: UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread II

Meanwhile over on the BU postseason thread, they're debating who has the better team/program (BU or Lowell) after last night's game as well as BU's lack of leadership and experience in comparison. I guess the BU radio guy said Lowell is a top five program/team nationally now and that's set a few off. But how far we've come in a short time, it's like Bizarro World or something.

Re: UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread II

UML Tournament Central is up and running with game and ticket info, etc. UML's sections are 2-3 in the Loge and 302 in the Balcony

The Harp on Causeway Street, as usual, is UML's pre-game headquarters.

That was me. Just so I don't get misrepresented, I'll repeat here. Tom Ryan (BU color analyst) said "Right now, Lowell is a top 5 program nationally." His point was that it takes the right blend of talent AND leadership. He expressed clear and unmistakable disappointment that BU's effort was almost embarrassing. This is to take nothing away from UML. They have clearly been better all year (winning 3 of 4). But, to me, when you look at UVM battling BC to the end, it was very disappointing to see BU just give up the way they did. I don't mind losing as much as I mind not giving 100% effort. BU played well Friday and lost. Fine. But last night...yuck. By the way, they are eviscerating me over there, because apparently you can't say anything negative. I thought the purpose of these forums was to have a discussion...a discourse. But it's clear, just like in this country now, if you don't go along with the left, you are summarily silenced and shouted down, belittled and called names. Whatever...

No problem here saying UML is a top 5 program. One of the top coaches in the country. Deep. Great goalie. I saw QU, Denver, PC, Michigan, BC and UML as well as BU obviously. UML is not out of place with any of them

Everyone's venting and frustrated (even mookie is in the dumps, jasmine couldn't even perk him up), it's natural. You have expectations for your team and then they lay an egg, understandable. There's nights during the season where the less-than-inspired play, lazy passes, trying to be too fancy, inaccurate shooting, turnovers, etc. or whatever crap UML was pulling would drive us nuts. Haven't seen much of that the past few games as the chemistry is really starting to click (although the power play is still a work in progress) and BU just met up with Lowell at an inopportune time. Honestly I never saw last night coming at all.

Re: UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread II

I mean you in whatever state you were last night would be fun too :D . But a week of me and kroy4hobey would have been more fun on the boards.

I'm sure it will be a highly-entertaining week as he drives the BC fans crazy, not to mention the NU fans.

True, but I picked the original fight and have been pushing him over the edge periodically. Having a real reason to do so would make things fun.

If Nick was still posting alot is agree BC would be interesting, but fivehole, jd, and sterlippo won't be as fun. Nick, jcarter, patronick and mookie make things fun
