Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March

Harvard just beat BU tonight, making it yet another week where the #1 went down. They'll be coming into Lowell pretty confident.

Also, Eichel's first game in the NCAAs without a point.

But he had a head butt. That's worth 10 points. ;) :p

Edit: Head butting was listed on the live box score as a 2:00 minor on Eichel. Turns out the scorekeeper incorrectly entered 'head butting' and it was actually a hitting from behind penalty. Too bad, head butting had so much potential for season long smilies. ;)

Harvard better not overlook this Lowell team. They are not good enough to take most opponents lightly, particularly one as talented as Lowell.

Hoping both teams bring their A games!

It should be a very tough game for the Hawks Saturday night. Only three games left before the break, all at home. The Hawks just need to take care of business one game at a time. Hopefully Campbell will be back.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

And vice versa... UML better not take Harvard lightly. Harvard is greatly improved over last year. They have a terrific 1st line.

Looking forward to a great game on Saturday night!

I saw this on the Harvard thread and it got me thinking...
.... ECAC is 12-5-2 vs HE and league has second best OC record....

While still relatively early in the season, the sample size is pretty decent... is this a "down" year for HE, or "up" year for ECAC? It's probably both.

Disappointed (very very very slightly) to be missing this game Saturday, but hoping for all kinds of good results this weekend! Of course, if that happens, I'll be missing the Maine game too.

UML announces cyber Monday deals.

I know polls don't matter, and random opinions matter less, but this is asinine. Lowell takes 3 of 4 on the road in league, is 6-1-2 in their last nine but are "slowing down". Meanwhile a team below .500 is ahead of them.

Officially the dumbest thing I've read on the boards in months, and that's saying.a lot.

Take it with a grain of salt. The writer is probably still bitter about the shellacking Lowell gave Quinnipiac in Lowell last month.

Well if you look at only the last three games, they're only 1-1-1! And if you look at only their last game, they tied! So see, he was right! ;)

Best of luck to the Rev's this weekend. I watched some of the game Sunday and it looked like a good amount of fans made the trip to NY.

Harvard will be a good test for the Hawks. They'll need to play well.

No doubt! Crazy season so far. Looking at the schedule 8 weeks ago who'd have thought that UML would be ranked #4 on Thanksgiving and that the Harvard game would be an important measuring stick with big RPI/PWR impact.

That hit was Lopi's name written all over it. I wonder if Peter Hrasko - the giver of the hit on this video - watched old ULowell Chief tapes from the mid 1980s.

Agree 100%. Definitely a Lopi-esque open ice check. They were a sight to behold.
