More shut outs then losses? What does that mean? He will get more shutouts, then more losses? How do you know that?
I love clairvoyance. Interesting stuff.

Apologies. Jeff Smith now has more shutouts thAn losses. As you may recall Conner Hellybuyck finished his career with as many shutouts as losses. Just a fun stat (note the team also has more shutouts thAn losses)

If I were clairvoyant I promise you I would be to busy with lottery numbers to be on this message board.

Amazing stat ... 18 different goal scorers this season already, 9 games in.

I'm a gramma nazi. The correct word is than, not then. ;)

See?

Great effort tonight. Last 40 minutes probably the best of the season. This team looks better and more confident when Smith is between the pipes to me. I'd like to see him start to get the bulk of the work, though I figure it will probably be alternating starts for a while still.

Also, saw McGrath in the halls, you have to think he is getting closer to coming back. If he gets back soon (after the break?), that would be a huge boast.

I heard Bob during the game talk about the stat during the game. I think this shows the great job the coaching staff is doing with the talent they recruited. Keep it up Lowell.

I did not realize we had grammar nazis on this board, but since we are at it:
This should be "...would be *too* busy with lottery numbers".

On the interesting stat brought up earlier re: 18 different scorers - that is a terrific stat to have so early in the season. This makes things a bit more difficult for opposing teams to defend as they cannot zero in and try to shut down just 2-3 scorers.

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March

Looking ahead at the remaining schedule for November, it's hard to project where the Riverhawks will stand after the next 5 games: 2 vs Penn State at home, 2 vs ND on the road, 1 vs Harvard at home.

Penn State, on paper, does not seem too scary - but can we expect a sweep? Or at least 3 points? Notre Dame, especially away, is going to be tough and will be the 'hawks next real test. Can they get 2 points? Is there a good chance they could be swept? Final game this month is vs Harvard at home - UML should win, but Harvard is a much improved team this year than last. This one will not be a cake walk.

Out of a possible 10 points in the next 5 games to close out the month, I think UML will get 6 points.

Nobody is easy... let's remind ourselves on that one

Penn State... no reason the team can't get 4 points but they're 3 years in and probably should be an adequate team this year. I'll have to look at their schedule. If we come out to play we should be able to pick up the points. No gimmies.

Notre Dame... another test and our first two game road set. I'd settle for a split.

Harvard... we better win because I'll be there!

Seeing as though I am late to the grammar parade I will reply without mentioning anything about a huge boast ;)
My sources say week to week on McGrath, which would be a nice boost. I did notice that he did not have the wrist support on last night though.
