UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

That was great this afternoon, just what the doctor ordered. Let's hope they're out of their tailspin now and can win the final three regular season games.

Someone commented during the game "how did we lose to and tie Amherst" as they were so horrible.

And having them present the Alumni Cup to Boyle after the game and his skate to center ice was great. The reaction from several players and Boyle was priceless as several fans yelled that he never would have touched/seen the Cup if he stayed at Amherst.

Was in Boston with the trackies yesterday watching updates on my phone. It was pinging like crazy. Couldn't believe the score after 1. The les household was happy.

Lowell is #16 in the USCHO poll and is currently out of the Top 16 in the PWR.

Your River Hawks have clinched home ice in the Hockey East playoffs for the fourth consecutive season...

Really? I am I missing something here?

They can finish no lower than 8th. Therefore they are guaranteed to host a playoff series. Whether it's the 1st round or the Quarterfinals is yet to be determined.

Hi everyone - been awhile since I posted here as life got incredibly busy the last month or so. Only made it to one home game since school break <<sigh>>.

With regard to the PWR... If UML can dig deep and win their final 3 games (vs BC - #10t in PWR, and VT - #16t in PWR) - hopefully they will jump up high enough in the PWR to get an NCAA bid. Of course that depends on the other teams. It will be interesting.

If UML should lose to BC - will they no longer have a shot of finishing above #16?

Playoffs.... But yes, their life is rather hard right now.

This thread has gone deadly quiet the last month or so. Kinda like the recruiting thread's been dead for months!

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

we lost our mo!

I'm trying to stay optimistic but it's not easy! Heading to BC tonight. Hoping senior night is a distraction for the Eagles and Lowell comes out with some playoff intensity.

Bad goal in the first, and Lowell's half way through the game down 1-0.

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

Vermont beat MC tonight. So with a game in hand, they are now one point behind us. Man, we are desperately going to be fighting to get that first round bye.

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

PC scores with 8 seconds left to tie, and then beats UMass in OT. So they are (as of now) ahead of Lowell in third place. 2-2 Lowell/BC with 10:06 left. Gambardella scored a shorty. And then immediately after, we had given up the PPG.
