UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

How does Notre Dame recover from that and come back to play a win-or-season's over game 18 hours later? There's suddenly a real chance that Vermont comes right back here next weekend.

That was insane! I was there when UL played at the time the longest game in NCAA history (in some M state). Watching the skaters they looked like they were dragging in 3 OT. I can't imagine what watching that looked like. Lots of electrolyte replacement and ice baths!

83 saves!!! that is completely ridiculous! and the other guy 72 saves.

I love it! All of a sudden I don't fear ND NU or VT. Go Black Bears, Warriors and Minutemen!! Eeeuhh I think I just threw up in my mouth.

I thought that too. They close concessions at most places by mid 3rd period. They could have made a killing selling beer and coffee!

UMass radio said there was still about 500 people in the stands when it ended.

Slight off topic here...
Brought my little girl to see her fav player ever, #23 Scott Wilson, who was in town with the Scranton Penguins vs Manchester Monarchs. The AHL obviously has better general talent than the college ranks, but I'd say it is hard to beat the energy and excitement of any given HE game. Anyways it was great to see him play again, although he had a fairly quiet game. The girl and I had a chance to talk with him for a few minutes after. He came back to chat as he easily recognized us as Lowell fans. Total gentlemen, friendly, talkative and was great with my daughter, and me for that matter. He's a tough guy not to want to see good things happen to. He's working hard at bulking up and getting another shot with the big team. I suspect we'll see #23 as #43 visiting the Bruins before too long. Former UML #6 Barry Goers, now #41, is a teammate getting some quality D ice time as well.

So, here's the scenarios for our next opponent:

If Notre Dame wins today, they come to Lowell next weekend.
If Notre Dame loses and Vermont wins, Vermont comes to Lowell next weekend.
If Notre Dame and Vermont both lose, New Hampshire comes to Lowell next weekend.

So, who would you rather see?

I love this thread. Rather than make my head hurt I just wait for you guys to post the possibilities.

only thing I'd worry about is no beer for that long.

Ha! Yeah my wife asked me if the 5 OT game happened in Lowell would I have stayed till the end? I quickly said "absolutely" but then realized the game ended 4 hours after they shut off the beer taps and wasn't so sure.
