Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

Just what Norm has been preaching, we will celebrate when we are done.

AM radio station live broadcasting ( 980AM , streaming ) from Pittsburgh today-Friday from media hotel lobby. Likely just the morning 6-10AM show but should have an interesting show tomorrow and Friday *fingers crossed*. They were saying that team hotel is 11 miles out of town so Bob Ellis may not make it to the microphone today. Interesting to note that they are the only team station ( so far? ) live broadcasting down there, thank Lowell Bank for covering the expense.

I am counting on you guys going down to give us feedback on ticket situation for Saturday ; going to be awful hard not to hop in the car Saturday morning if I know there are tickets waiting at the bar !!
I spoke with Ted Priestly on the plane and on the shuttle from the airport, and he said if people need tickets, let him know. If you can't contact him, let me know. Email me through here, or if you have my number ... text me.

The Lowell Sun has a 16-page special today on the River Hawks. On the last page, market Basket congratulates the Hawks on their first ECAC championship ...
Well, maybe we can claim that too, after we beat Yale and Q.

I think there are a lot of Lowell fans on stand-by, waiting to see what happens Thursday. For whatever reason it may be (work, family, finances, etc.), taking in the whole event is beyond the means of many but nevertheless, UML is going to be very well represented at Thursday's game by all accounts. I think if they make it past Yale and into Saturday's championship game, you will see a decent secondary influx of UML fans making their way to Pittsburgh for Saturday's game. Tickets can be found and if anyone has the ability to get there, try and make every effort to.

To those of you already there and that will be there, please post whatever pictures and other fan accounts/stories you can to keep everyone up here in the loop.

There are so many fans on standby has anyone (fan, school, business) considered chartering a bus to Pittsburgh on Friday night? That would be more cost effective than dozens of cars all making the trip.
