Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

Did anyone catch the post by the Hockey East twitter account last night when the netfront scrum in front of Gilles was under review?

Are they deliberately trolling us now?
Wow....and I'll leave it at that.

Wow....and I'll leave it at that.

I'm starting to think about tonight... have the refs been assigned yet... part of me wants to think that Parker will pull out all the stops... S. Hansen and the Markham Mauler, the Mench of Mississauga, the Butcher of Brampton... Conrad Hache.

Good luck tonight, UML. I didn't think you guys would beat Maine because of their style of play, but I think BU is going to struggle mightily against Lowell tonight. To think, Lowell and Brown could win banners tonight. Up is down, down is up. Armageddon.

Go get that 'ship.
do you have a fever?! Regardless, Good luck to Brown... #digtheunderdog

Here's a couple of bad pictures from my phone. The color sucks, but there was a lot of blue out there.

Side note:
Did we only bring 1/3 of the band last night? They sounded underwhelming where I was sitting.
Awesome! Thanks.
The Band was good from where we were. They drowned out the Provicid band at one point. Bands do not know band etiquette anymore.

You must spread right back at you.

Some things are better left unsaid, especially when the spouse is around
Pffft! My Spouse used to be right in front of me at the Tully. Now he's obllivious :)

Tully was awesome, the glass was so low you could really be obnoxious to the refs. They couldn't ignore you:D

Good luck tonight, you guys dominated PC last night even if the score doesn't show it, Gillies was the man. be nice to see another team win HE

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

No time to make signs here but it would be great to see someone from UML make two for tonight based upon quotes presently floating around -

"For you, for me, for Lowell"

and

"Why not us?"

Gravel head used to have the most humorous glint in his eye after someone said something funny.

You could also hear when the coaches were yelling at the refs or the team. Billy Riley was a classic.

I miss those days. The larger rink is so sterile.

You were right on top of the penalty box too. Used to get great reactions from Brett Hull, etc., you were practicallly sitting with them in the box at Tully.

For all the complaining about having to go back to Tully for those 2 Maine games several years ago, it was actually kind of fun and brought back all sorts of memories.

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

Which is pretty much what I said. Good luck tonight.
To me, "The River Hawks, win or lose tonight, will most likely be the number one seed in the Manchester Regional that begins next Friday. " is not '50/50'. You'd think after being chastised by Todd multiple times about getting the numbers right, you'd actually be more thorough. One might think you weren't that serious about being a responsible member of the media given that. Just saying.

This. I forgot about the penalty box. The heckling was incessant and very creative. Now the puffy seats are behind them. Puffy seat people are way too mellow for that.

It's greater than 50-50, but thanks for your input.

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

I've been pumping up your school and team for a month now. I wrote an article that appeared on your school's athletic website about Meehan and Bazin, the move to D1 and winning HE and wrote a story back in February on Pendenza before UML really took over in first. I'm sure I'm wrong about the numbers, but there are certainly some plausible scenarios where UMass-Lowell loses and will still be a one seed. But go ahead. Have fun "chastising" every little mistake I make with numbers.

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

I am with CHRR on this one. All the numbers in the world and they are still going to do what ever they want.

Can't help myself .... FYI : They 'really took over in first' the last game of the regular season. I guess 'back in February' is close enough.

Yeah same here. We've been screwed so many times in the past on everything that even if we win tonight, I'll still be afraid Bertagna will find some obscure clause and give the trophy to Parker as a retirement gift. Or slink into the locker room like he did in Providence to avoid giving it to us on the ice.
