Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

From what I can tell, yeah Lowell's got at least 2K fans there. Plus the other ones who will be sitting elsewhere.

From what the Tsongas told me, the 3 loge and 2 balcony sections represent approximately 800-1,000 seats so not bad. And you're right as that doesn't count the tons of fans who are buying their tickets directly from the Garden or Ticketmaster. Plus there will be some available for the cheap for Saturday's championship game after our game from Providence fans Friday! )

Yeah, it'll just be "can't buy anything for Cleggy"... Whose username sadly reminds me of dartmouth's most awesome mascot.
Great mascot.

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

Have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. And now Gillies is going to be ****ed and make like 1,349 saves Friday night.

freshman Connor Hellebuyck won the Stop It Goaltending Champion Award posting a 1.38 GAA, a .948 save percentage and a record of 11- 1-0 for the River Hawks.

Looks like Hellebuyck gets 1st team and Gillies or maybe DeSmith gets 2nd.

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

Smart move by HE putting the both of them on the team and only two forwards. Don't really think there was a third deserving forward

Apparently not.

Norm gets Coach of the Year tho.

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

From the HE Semi-finals Conference Call we get Norm Bazin's Understatement of the Year:

What worked well against Maine:
“I thought the games were a series of momentum shifts. I thought we were able to get a little
more of a second offensive attack against Maine. I thought the games were chock full of
penalties. Our defensemen really came on for us
.”

Emphasis is mine.. Ya think?
