The kid just committed won't play until 20/21. Imagine Swayman is either left early that season or we are lucky in that he plays senior season. Plus, as you mentioned about Thiessen, Langford might play a year of juniors after he graduates.
Now that I read some old articles and combine it with his age it seems likely Thiessen can only come in 19/20 at the earliest. So that lines up well as McGovern would graduate at the end of next season.

I would guess he does a year in the USHL then shows up. It will be interesting to see how Red juggles Swayman, Thiessen, and the kid who just committed.

Thiessen isn't looking too far past this year but knowing he'll be going to Maine either for the 2019/20 season or the 2020/21 season, he's fine either way and would enjoy staying in Steinbach for as long as he can. "It's not set in stone, it's kind of wait and see what the program wants for me. I'd be pumped to stay here into my 20-year-old season."
