Finally great to see this level of effort and getting the reward for it. A sweep would be special,, wink wink😂 and you gave up your tickets !

As fun as that game was, still don't miss the drive up and back after 300 miles doing service calls todays.

In addition to scoring three game-winning goals in his first three games, Mitchell Fossier has five goals to lead the freshmen who have notched nine in just three games. Last year the freshman class scored eight in 204 manpower games. This year's total has come in just 19 manpower games.

The last freshmen to score 5 goals were Cedric Lacroix (5) and Nolan Vesey (10) in 2014-15. Vesey did not score his first until game 15 and Lacroix until game 17. Vesey did not score his fifth until game 22. Lacroix scored his fifth in game 38. Blaine Byron scored five in his first 14 games. Devin Shore struggled as a freshman, as did Steven Swavely. Not since 2009 has Maine had a freshman score five so quickly when Adam Shemansky did it in seven games.

Maine last rallied in the third period...last Saturday. Maine last rallied twice when trailing after two periods in the SAME SEASON in 2011-12, when they trailed at Vermont 3-2 after two and rallied to win 6-4 on 12/2/11 and vs Alabama-Huntsville when they trailed 3-0 and came back to win 4-3 in overtime on 2/3/12.

Officially the game was sold out. Attendance 5125.

Maine is 2nd in PWR :):):) Once again goaltending for Maine(both sides really) was good. Rob had no chance on the last 2 Q goals. He made the saves he should have, stopped grade As late and kept Maine in the game.

I like the Gibson Lacroix Smith line. Also liked Hamilton last night, no stupid penalties yet made his presence known.

We'll see who has the better conditioned team tonight.

Don't be dissin' my fellow Orono High School alum

You mean Captain Obvious, or is that big Lar ? :) I thought Maine looked better conditioned last night as they looked comparitively stronger as the game went on. We'll see how much bite there is in this bear tonight, or if it's all just growl.;). Show me a frosh I don't like yet..... isn't one...

Very big win congratulations to the team. Also good to see Vesey putting up some points so far this year. I was thinking a split for this weekend and next would be super and beyond expectations. Half way there!!

Last night's game was not only a sellout, but there were a lot of students turned away. Time to restart the tradition of students camping out to get admission to hockey games? Someone make a Gendronville sign for tonight. :D

It would be nice to see the lower bowl filled in. It will be interesting to see if non-students start buying more tickets now that the team is off to a good start.

I didn't have the angle to tell but I was wondering if D-man Connor Clifton made contact with the puck before it crossed the goal line on the Shea goal?

He stabbed at it but not sure if he made contact. Not even sure how Shea made contact

I just might have to make a road trip in early November to see these magnificent Bears. :)

Those seats are sold but the ticket holders didn't show. Too bad there isn't a way for people to tell ticket office they aren't coming so those seats could be filled by students.
