Olle Darth has committed to Maine.

Saw him sitting with O’Connor a few weeks ago at a practice so nice to see it’s official now.

Good measuring stick series for us to see where this team is at compared to last year. That series was the definition of playing down to competition (something they did way too frequently) and really didn't have a good series against Colgate last year (losing Friday night and trailing 2-0 on Saturday before winning in OT).

Would be great to see Maine come out flying and have a couple of 4 or 5 goal differential wins.

Poirier left for way more money in what is considered a stronger conference right now. It's an unfortunate but reasonable decision.

Miguel Marques left for a lesser program within the conference that doesn't have home games this year. That one rubs me the wrong way.

Marques was politely told there is no spot for him here

Yes it is disappointing we lost two great offensive minded players. However, outside of their scoring ability, there is a lot left to be desired. I watched them play over this past weekend and they are both still defensive liabilities. Barr is a defensive minded coach and needs players that will fit into his defense heavy system. that's probably why he is bringing in players like Maksim Sokolovskii.

As long as they put in the effort like they did against Qpac, I dont see why they cant win by 4+ both nights. Just have to stay focused.

I think the A.I. at Seatgeek is slightly overestimating demand for the season finale against Vermont.

But please, by all means, buy those tickets at that price. I've always wanted my own island in the South Pacific....

Are we sure football is getting new locker rooms? The facilities master plan lists office space and locker rooms for basketball, a new sports medicine and weight room for the entire athletic department, and dedicated office space for football. Renderings show basketball's locker rooms and football's office space but no locker rooms for football. Field hockey seems to have received more from the facilities overhaul than football has so far (as they should, they're a way more successful program).

Yeah could be wrong about locker rooms. Thought I read something about that quite a while ago -- so visiting teams had a place instead of using the alfond back hallway.
Maybe there will be enough space in the new building hallways.
