well 4 points is 4 points in HEA play. Maybe have some momentum with BU coming to Alfond next Saturday....is that fire timmy protest still happening? haha

Holy poop.......Providence sweeps Merrimack, Lowell sweeps UNH, and NU sweeps Notre Dame this weekend!

Interesting video, the economies of North Dakota and Maine are hardly similar, ND has oil and the state is booming, anyone who wants a job can move their and get one easily. 2 many ads for me to continue to watch

Way too long. 15 minutes to learn what's been on the board for 3 1/2 years? Zzzzz.

Re: UMaine, 2011-2012 season thread, does anyone care anymore?

Tim was maybe heartened by Maine's sweep of lowly Vermont, and by the chaos in general this weekend... But it certainly doesn't vindicate his lack of production in the few past years. I guess I wouldn't quit my job if I were him - hard to say - but I'd definitely be making contingency plans with U-Haul just the same.

Watched the football game today, and was very impressed with the Maine line-play on both sides of the ball, the Bear's secondary, and the level of sophistication in the O. Would've been a blowout at the half, if not for that curious "uncatchable" call that occurred when the ball hit the Maine WR in his chest, despite the obvious PI going on at the time.

ESPN3's coverage of the game was very good, but I'm looking forward to seeing the next contest on real TV, and in HD... IMO, if they execute as they did today, Maine can win at GA Southern, or anywhere else.

Billett with 40 saves tonight in BC's 6-1 win over BU.........another one that got away.

He's from Northern Massachusetts so he never would have come here, isn't that the standard answer now for any kid in So. Maine?

Good weekend, little momentum for next weekends game against BU.

Vermonts game feed was excellent, even with my slow connection I could watch and actually see the puck, Outstanding

Don't look now boys, but guess who has the # 1 ranked overall P.P. in Hockey East, clicking at 25%?

Doesn't surprise me, Flynn, Abbott and Diamond are as good as any first line in HE, maybe the country??? If we can get more scoring from Beattie and Anthoine etc. They could get back into the thick of things in HE. The big issue is still the D and goaltending

he's from brunswick. the kennebunk thing was where he went to school while playing with the jr. monarchs... strated at brunswick, went to nya for a year before heading to the ej...

he also had 31 saves in a win over yale in his debut... in two games he's given up 3 goals on 74 shots...

No matter, Tim had no shot getting him in Orono without Grant

Yes, it is with Whitehead at the helm.

Speaking of Whitehead........a win vs. BU, and he is playing himself back into another season at the helm........which I think is a given anyway. NO WAY that Maine buys him out with 2 years remaining.........if he doesn't win next year, I can see them buying 1 year out though.

I think this is correct, no way he gets bought out this year, just another in the long list of screw ups by Blake James

Agreed, nice to see the pp getting going, its made a difference moving Abbott low. Seemed pointless from last year moving him from the left side point for his 1t, an this year having him playing the right side of the point(I realize they are playing a right overload now), if they aren't going to utilize his shot, he should be down low with Flynn and Diamond for those 3 to out cycle anyone. Those 3 down low made a lot happen, and Manges has seemed to fit in well on the point in the pp.

Re: UMaine, 2011-2012 season thread, does anyone care anymore?

a friend of mine said that abbott was on the jab on friday and essentially said he expects maine to be top four in hockey east every year, in the ncaa tournament every year, and if that isn't the case, then changes will be made... whitehead might not be safe because of the two years remaining...

You can add one more reason to moving him down low and that would short handed goals.
