Re: UMaine '18-'19: Back to the Nationals!

Maine penalty killing well. But still with three penalties in the period. Overall I thought Maine played well. Let's hope the hard work continues into the second.

Re: UMaine '18-'19: Back to the Nationals!

One defender falls done let's guy in on goalie alone, other d man doesn't clear trailer going to the net, Q guy puts rebound into an empty net as Swayman dove to get back.

Q 1-0

Just like clock work.

How many times are the D going to lose an edge? Ridiculous

Brady Keeper looks like he got so much worse from last year.

Perez was behind Qs 23 who scored, just watching wasnt trying to tie up his stick.

Saw that too. He didn't back check well last night on the first goal they gave up. Essentially didn't skate hard getting back, no tie up, out of position, goes down in crease, sets screen on Swayman and hinders his free movement, puck just trickles in past Swayman.

Tralmaks has been throwing the puck up out of his zone a lot lately. He thrives on pucks down on the boards and the cycle. How he has instincts to keep throwing it up high to invisible point men is beyond me. Not helping the team by avoiding your strength. He is nearly unbeatable when he gets his legs working on the cycle down low.

This should be Red's last year, but honestly I think he has done a good job overall. [QUOTE.]

Can you possibly be serious. He's almost in-arguably the worst coach Maine has ever had.

Only Semler gives him a run for his money, but Semler started from scratch, and Red's best team was the one he inherited from Whitehead. Case closed.

Has the team quit already? or are they just not good enough to compete

I don't think they have quit. I do know this program is far worse under Gendron. I find it interesting how fans were outraged over Tim and there isn't much said about Gendron's performance in terms of organizing an effort to hire someone else. At least publicly (facebook etc.). That's what happens when a coach follows a legend. Gendron will probably stay as long as he wants.
